Bumpdate Week 19

My view on Saturday
18 Weeks 2 Days

How far along? 19 Weeks!

Total weight gain: +1
I weighed myself at my in-laws and I'm up in weight! Just a pound, but I'm still happy! I'll know my true weight gain at my anatomy scan tomorrow.

Maternity clothes: Still wearing my regular clothes. I bought two tops this week and just sized up, they will look cute as I grow and after the baby.

Stretchmarks: Nothing yet, this week I bought Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter that Chelsea of Haute Child in the City suggested to me in last week's post. I really like it so far, it's creamy, but not to thick/thin. It also hasn't made me break out in some crazy rash like the Johnson's Baby Oil Gel or even the lotion from BBW did, thank goodness!

Sleep: Still sleeping good! I can feel my bump when I sleep, so I think an extra pillow for support may be in my future.

Best moment this week: The excitement building up to finding out the sex, then I can finally start buying gender specific goodies! I bought the above print from a Groopdealz and figured it is gender neutral (it doesn't come with the pink border) and works for the colors I want to use for either sex.

Worst moment this week: I gave myself a pedi this weekend and I think it will be my last self pedi. I can completely reach my toes still, but it was so uncomfortable!

Have you told family and friends:Yep! It's no secret.

Miss Anything? I've been missing sushi so bad, but this weekend I had a girls night with two of my sisters-in-laws and had some rolls where the fish was thoroughly cooked. After tons of research I found which ones were definitely OK to eat. It was so delicious, I can't wait to eat it again! Yes, I've been eating fish throughout the pregnancy (some people cut it out completely), but only the amount and types of fish my Dr has said is safe.

Movement: I swear I feeling something. Most of the "movement" I've felt has been the same, but two times I've felt something different. The first time was in the aisle at Target with my MIL and I felt like a burst of air, like a popcorn popping or something. The second time was at work, I felt something poke me from the inside, like the little baby's leg just jabbed me. It wasn't painful or anything, but something completely different than anything else I've felt. How do you know when you've actually felt something? I want to know if it's the baby for sure, or just digestion.

Food cravings: Fruit! I seriously can't get enough. It's all I think about all day long.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still going strong! No sickness or nausea.

Have you started to show yet: This week the bump showed up! It's so weird, one day my husband and I were lying in bed and he asked me where my stomach went because it looked so flat (note: my stomach has never been flat, he just mean flatter), then two days later I have a full-on bump. Like a BUMP!! Everyone wants to touch it and asks me where it came from. Before, you could see something there, but now complete strangers ask me about what I'm having and such. It's exciting!

Gender: We find out tomorrow! Eeeek!

Symptoms: Nothing this week, just the bloating after eating anything at all.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! I think the moody days and annoyances are long gone for this girl.

Looking forward to: Finding out the gender of our little one and sharing it with friends and family this weekend!

Being not sick is so good - I'm scared that I'll be puking all the time.

Can't wait to hear what gender! The moodiness will return during the last couple of weeks- I just started noticing it. I think it's because I'm getting really uncomfortable, baby girl is out of room! As far as sleep goes, I find it really comfortable and helpful to cuddle up with a pillow lenghtwise to support my stomach.

Hooray for you! It sounds like everything is going great! I know you are pumped about the anatomy scan! At the end of my pregnancy I slept surrounded by pillows to support my back and bump it was awesome!!

I wasn't positive that I was feeling baby kicks until I was close to 25 weeks. But I felt butterfly like movements all the time starting at 17 weeks. By the end your stomach will LOOK like it is boiling. haha. I cant wait to find out what youre having!!

Thankfully the only kind of sushi I like is the kind that is cooked, so I have been able to eat it still. I want shrimp, crab and lobster all the time. Thankfully they are safe every once in awhile! Can't wait to find out what you are having!!!! =)
