15 at Heart

So I was skimming through my DVR/Netflix queue and realized I'm a teenager at heart. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of "adult" shows like Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy Sons of Anarchy and the other, but I realized I have a slight obsession with teen dramas. I just can't help it!

Pretty Little Liars

I've watched this show since the start and really love the characters and the fashion. I hate that they keep dragging out who "A" is and do NOT think this past season's finale had any true indications about who it really is. 

Gossip Girl

This one was a guilty pleasure for a while, but honestly, I'm glad it's the last season. I was kind of getting over it, it's the same plot over and over again (not that other shows aren't either). I just love Blair and what the characters wear. Plus, I love looking at how gorgeous Blake Lively it. 

The Vampire Diaries

I feel like I was the last one on the bandwagon for this show. I caught up with it last summer on Netflix and have been hooked since. Elena drives me insane, but I still watch it. 

Glee

If you've read my blog for a while, you'll already know that I love this show. The songs this season have been amazing and I love Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker as guest stars. 

Awkward

Just started watching it this summer when MTV had a crazy marathon and this show is HI-larious. Super witty and creative, it reminds me the most of high school. 

Teen Wolf

Another show I started this summer, but through Netflix. Holy moly the boys are dreamy! I actually like it better than Vampire Diaries too. 

The part that makes me laugh the most with this teen drama selection is that I didn't care about high school. I was on cheer, and dance, and had a boyfriend in high school, but I hated it. I moved to a new state sophomore year (which would have been my first year in high school, 9th grade is still junior high in UT) and I didn't fit in anywhere. I really only had one true friend all thru high school, who I still love and talk to all the time. Don't get me wrong, I had fun, but it didn't live up to any expections. Wait. Light bulb. Maybe that's why I watch the teen show? To live through them? Hmmmmm...

On the topic of TV, did you guys check out Nashville? LOVE.

I'm in LOVE/LUST with these pajamas Leighton Meester's character Blair wore in this week's episode "Easy J" on Gossip Girl. I've trolled the internet trying to find out who makes them and where I can buy them, but have had no luck. They're the perfect combination of feminine and masculine and look oh so comfy!

Do any of you know where they're from or where I can get a pair similar?

Product Review: Nicole by OPI

 

At the TJ Maxx & Save the Children lounge I got a swag bag of the Gossip Girl collection and was so pumped! This was one of the items I was so excited about trying this fall.  I heard about these little gems and couldn't wait to get my hands on them so I felt very lucky to have received them at the event. From left to right they are Too Rich for You; Scandals, Secrets and Sparkle; Party in the Penthouse and Nicole…Spotted! At the event I had a manicure (I sat next to Katie Cleary). I love that the two solid colors Too Rich for You and Party in the Penthouse are dark, but not black. The perfect shade for fall and winter!

Here is Too Rich for You by itself (two coats), and below it has the two glitter colors layered on top. My ring finger has one coat of Scandals, Secrets and Sparkleand my middle finger has Nicole...Spotted!.

Too Rich for You is definitely my favorite shade and I would recommend the color to everyone! It's perfect for fall/winter and I can't wait to bust it out. It's very dark blue and green glitter and I think it will be my go to shade all season. Scandals, Secrets and Sparkle is nice but too light of a blue for me, maybe another coat would have been better? I think it would be better fit for someone with a darker skintone.

Gossip Girl Returns!

Set your DVR's and get ready for a new season of GG! This is one of my favorite shows on TV and I've been dying for this season to start! Don't miss it tonight on the CW at 9/8 Central time. Check out their website here for a season preview or to watch past episodes.

There's been tons of leaked photos and the fashion this season is incredible. I would love to wear just about everything on the show. I love each character's wardrobe in different way, I love Jenny's rocker glam looks (although some are a little much for me), Vanessa's boho hippie style, Blair's preppy and classic style, and Serena's edgy and sexy looks.

I'm seriously in love with Serena's wardrobe so far. I'm dying to get my hands on a gold glitter cardigan/jacket for the fall. Blair's wardrobe is a little bit more grown up too since her high school uniform days. I do miss those headbands though!

-Blair and Serena go on a double-date with a member of Monaco's royal family and his chauffeur. Blair is surprised to learn which is which.
-An important decision Serena made about her future - but failed to mention to Blair - is what ends up getting her shoved into a fountain. I
-n NYC, Dan is in full Mr. Mom mode, LIVING WITH GEORGINA! But is the baby really his? A suspicious paternity test suggests one thing, while a blood test and Rufus' intuition say another. Georgina is as funny and shady as usual.
-Gossip Girl fans, especially those who watched Melrose Place, are going to love Katie Cassidy as Juliet Sharp. She's sarcastic, flirty, plotting an elaborate scheme, of course, gorgeous. In other words, a perfect Gossip Girl fit. Juliet, who Nate first meets while on a date with another girl, and later runs into again when she's working with Eleanor planning Fashion's Night Out, works to help him get Serena back. She clearly has ulterior motives, though ...
-Eva (Clemence Poesy) rescued Chuck after he was shot in Prague and nursed him back to health. He's now taken on an entirely new persona. But is he suffering from amnesia or just trying to forget the man he was - and is ashamed of?
-After a chance run-in in Paris, and with Lily and Serena frantically worrying about Chuck's fate, Blair tries to convince him not to run from who he is ...
-Blair will have a new rival this season ... and it may be someone she's familiar with.
-Project Runway fixture Tim Gunn is coming to Gossip Girl this fall.
-Michelle Trachtenberg will not be a series regular, though we'll be seeing her in the beginning of the season, and likely on a recurring basis thereafter.

Gossip Girl Returns!

Tonight GG will finally be back on after a 3 month hiatus!! Let me tell you, I have definitely had some withdrawals going on. Catch it tonight on The CW 8/9 Central!
Tonight's episode is "The Hurt Locket" (how appropriately named after last night's Oscars huh?. I'm excited to see Serenate together, I think they're going to be a HOT couple, my fave couple Chair is still on, and I always love seeing anything with Jenny's character. I'm so excited for the rest of the season and all of the fashion! I'm hoping there will be some hair and beauty looks I can steal! I can't wait for it to be spring on the show though, the weather in CA is a bit too warm for sweaters. Oh and here's a sneak peek at Michelle Trachtenberg's character Georgina in the final episode:

GG Spoilers!

1. This season (and parts of other seasons as well) Gossip Girl character Serena Van Der Woodsen has been on the hunt for her father. There's been some speculation as to who would play him, but with tons of paps hounding the set 24/7 we see that it's none other than Billy Baldwin!!

What do you think? Who would you have chosen? Personally, I think they should have picked someone a little more GQ like Alec Baldwin, Alexander Skarsgard (ok, he's a bit young, but so hot), Anderson Cooper (again, just because he's a fox), Jon Hamm, Hugh Jackman, or Colin Firth.

2. Serena and Nate will finally be a couple!

Who's your favorite GG couple? My pick is Chair (Chuck/Blair), but I think Nate will be a good pick for Serena, plus I'm hoping to see him shirtless.

3. One of my favorite ladies will be coming back! Michelle Trachtenberg will be on this season's finale!

I just adore her, she always looks so chic and her beauty is different from other Hollywood types (Ok, so I enjoy the fact that she has big eyes like me). Still, her character Georgina is a total badass, I love her drama. Isn't this picture of her and Jessica Szhor at Fashion Week so cute and stereotypical? I just love it!

PS GG has been renewed for season 4!! Yippee! The show will finally be back in two weeks on March 8 so mark your calendars and set your DVR!

If You Don't Want To Wear Pants, Do It In Style

like Blake Lively!! Doesn't she look great? I'm seriously loving this dress she wore to the Sherlock Holmes premiere! Her hair is so curly and bouncy, her legs look amazing in those gold Louboutin heels, and her jade ring is gorgeous. Her nude nails are perfect as well, a color would have been too much. I seriously can't stop staring at this picture, she looks divine.

I love Rachel McAdam's hair & makeup, but I am not feeling her jumper so much, the top is beautiful but I would have chosen a sexy short dress for her instead. Something similar to what Nicole Kidman wore at the Nine premiere.

Ashley Greene looks great to in another winter white frock with nude shoes and great lip color.

Great Finds!

This season, I really wanted a cream cowl neck sweater to add to my closet. I love cowl necks because they can casual or dressed up and cream look great with my hair color. After seeing this pic of Serena on the Gossip Girl set, I had to have one. Right now.

I found this beauty at Forever 21 and can't stop wearing it! It looks great with dark skinny jeans and boots or over leggings. Every time I've worn, I've gotten so many compliments, you'd never guess I got it at such a great price! Also, the neck is a little bit bigger than what the picture shows. You can buy it here.

While I was there, I also picked up this gold bronzer. I've worn it everyday since and people have asked me so many times what I'm wearing. It's similar to MAC Shimmer Bronzer (which I love), but it's pressed so it's easier to carry around. However, I suggest you don't carry it with you because mine has already broke a little bit. No big deal and because I got it for so cheap I don't care, but I wouldn't want it to have broke in my purse. A little bit goes a long way and it last all day long, you can wear it alone or over blush. If you wear it over blush, make sure it's not a peachy one because then you kind of look sunburned. Lol. Nevermind False Alarm For Leighton

I seem to have blogged too soon! I thought Leighton was oh so fashionable before, but now I realized she was just trying to sike me out. It's truly just so sad.

I knew white dresses would be huge this winter, have you bought yours yet? I have one I bought back in May that is appropriate for winter, but I haven't worn it yet. Maybe I'll get a chance with holiday parties. The second look would be really easy to copy with a sheath dress, booties, leather jacket, and a scarf. You could do the same color palette as Leighton or add a colored necklace, scarf, or shoes for a pop of color.

To Bang Or Not To Bang?

Leighton Meester got bangs!!! What do you think of them? I know this isn't the first time she's had them, but I can't tell if these are fake or not. I think they are though because I haven't seen any more pictures of her with them recently. I would love to have fake clip on bangs- they'd be so fun! I have a horrible cowlick and bangs just do not work for me because they're always splitting on the side. Ech.

Dear Leighton Meester,

WTH? The majority of your red carpet looks are glam, sometimes you do have a few slip-ups.... but overall you have great style. However, just because you're on the verge of becoming a pop star does not mean you should ditch your Blair Waldorf headband.
