Whew? Is it Friday already? I've been on vacation and had my dad in town this week and it's just flown by! So much has happened this week and I will be doing a full blog post recapping Ellie's birthday bubble bash and Emma's broken finger next week. Kids, I tell ya! If it's not one thing, it's another. Thankfully everyone is ok and in good spirits. Until those posts are up, I wanted to share some of my favorites from this past week. I'm hoping to have some posts up soon, and I'm sorry to be so behind! Lots of great reviews coming up though!
One of my fave bloggers and girlfriends, Meg, sent me this gorgeous highlighter when I couldn't find it anywhere! Isn't that so sweet? I just love her and so will you! Check out her blog and today's post of her May Favorites! This highlighter is so pretty and perfect for summer nights.
White polish is everywhere this summer and so on trend! I found this perfect pink/white shade from China Glaze and it only needs two coats to be perfect opaque. Win! It's Let's Chalk About It and it's awesome! I can't find it online other than Amazon, but it's from their 2016 collection.
Target has so many adorable doormats right now! This pineapple one is adorbs and I almost got it since the color matches our Welcome wreath, but this flamingo one also caught my eye. I want them all! I never used to change out our mat or even thought much about it, but there's so many cute ones that I've found it to be an easy way to add some color and personality to our front porch.
This week we finally tried Rita's! I hear about it all the time and I couldn't wait to try it. The Italian ice was delicious, but I didn't care for their custard. I love custard, but thought that theirs was too thick. I want to try them again, what are your favorites?
How adorable are these matching tees? I found Cheerily on Instagram and instantly fell in love! They have the cutest tops and they are so soft and perfect for little ones. All the sayings are super cute, But First, Milk kills me and Tiny Dancer are my favorites! They're offering 15% off through June 15 using LOVELIPSTICKANDPEARLS15 so be sure to snag some!!
Hope you're all have a great day and that your week is full of sun and fun with loved ones!

Recent Purchases for my Matching Girls
Growing up as a sister duo, I was forced to wear a ton of matching outfits with my cool little sister. Sometimes it was awesome and other times we both kicked and screamed the entire time and hated that we matched. I'll let you take a guess which happened more often. I think it's a rite of passage to be able to match your children for as long as they will allow you to. I fully plan on letting this vicious cycle continue onto my own munchkins and I can't wait to see them in matching get ups.
Ellie is obsessed with the "puppy" movie, aka 101 Dalmations, so when I saw these outfits I had to snag them. The black leggings are sparkly and I thought they were just the cutest! How adorable will these look with boots or Mary Janes?
Again, Ellie is obsessed with dogs right now so I thought this was only fitting. I like that the top is a little heavier and these leggings are also sparkly.
The Christmas holiday is all about matching pajamas and we are all set! It was the only set I could find that had sizes for both girls in the same fabric. I want to get a few more sets, but I love that these have all the holiday feeling while not being outright just for Christmas.
Another holiday top that's not outright just for Christmas and would look adorbs with the sparkly leggings from the above sets.
The girls also needed some every day clothes for play and day care that I thought I'd include in this post, even though they didn't get matching sets of them.
How sweet is this floral print? Carters have several different pieces that are too, too cute with this print (I especially love this set), but Emma really needed some classic long sleeves for the season so I went with this three pack set.
These jeans are the cutest thing in the entire world on Eleanor. When I brought them home and tried them on her, Matt said she's too young to have real jeans and I needed to return them immediately. I totally agreed, but we kept them anyways and I just love how cute and old she looks in them.
On a mommy trip to the mall one night, I couldn't help but immediately "add to cart" when I saw these plaid looks at Old Navy. I thought they would be perfection at Christmas and a way for the girls to match, without being identical (which I actually prefer to dress them). I may have also bought myself a matching top, I'm totally that mom! I like this dress version of it, but it just didn't work for my body type and would be pretty tough to nurse in.

Here are some more picks from Carter's that I love! The cable knit is gorgeous in person, but it just doesn't get cool enough here for the girls to wear it. Especially Emma since she's always being held, I thought she'd get too hot in it. I love all the red they have this season, I think it's perfect for the holidays (obviously) and will pair so cute with fun printed tights/leggings, and sparkly shoes and hair accessories.
What have you been buying your littles? Do you match your kids? Did you grow up matching your siblings?

Recent Purchases for Ellie
Today I'm sharing a few purchases for Ellie, I bought several items from their big President's Sale (see my picks here) but I have a few things from other stores I picked up. I love shopping for little girls, they are so much fun! Right now she's in a 3T and I swear it's so hard to find that size, it seems like it's always sold out in stores. It also makes me sad that she's in toddler sizes and not baby ones anymore.
My grandma and I went shopping and made a stop to Old Navy and I had to pick up this bright floral dress for Ellie. I love her in lots of different colors, but she really looks great in bright ones (my favorite is blue and yellow on her). I think I'm going to save this dress for Easter, but there's so many gorgeous spring dresses out I might change my mind. It's also a bit casual, so we'll see as the holiday approaches.
This adorable hat is also from that same shopping trip and it looks so cute on! They had a really cute straw hat I wanted for her, but they didn't have her size and I haven't been able to find it online.
When Carter's had their big sale (see my picks here), I ordered two pairs of shoes for Ellie, but they were both too small. Anytime I order shoes in the future for her, I'm going to order two sizes and just return the ones that don't fit. I was kind of kicking myself in the butt for not doing that in first place when I know better. They didn't have the same ones we ordered in-store, but we found these bright ones and Ellie flipped over them. I think I'll just order the other pairs again online. LOL
Rash Guard Swim Set
I saw this swimsuit at Target and snagged it almost immediately. I love the colors and it's nice that there's extra coverage for Ellie's fair skin. I've seen so many adorable suits this year, it's been hard not to buy each and every one I see! I'm also eyeing this one and another fringe one I saw in-store at Carters, but haven't seen online.

I found these adorable flip-flops online and they match the suit so perfectly, but they're sold out online! Gotta find them somewhere in store- which I'm sure will never happen, but I'll try anyways.
One more day until the weekend! Hope your week is going swimmingly :)

Carters Presidents Sale Picks
Carter’s is having a great sale of 50% off with an additional 25% off a $50+ purchase using BIGSALE and 15% off your purchase using SAVENOW at check out. This is my favorite sale they do and I always try to stock up for the season for Ellie. Personally, I’m a huge fan of Carters- their sizing always fits, their clothes wash well, and last through all of the playing and washing. Since they’re sale is going on right now, I wanted to share some of my favorite picks for your little guy or gal with you guys!
For the gentlemen:
Blue Pineapple Set // Tropical Neon Set // Plaid Button Up // Polo // Chambray Button Up // Striped Button Up // Sunnies // Printed Shorts // Swim Trunks

For the ladies:
Yellow Set // Mint Shorts // Chambray Top // Glitter Sandals // White Sandals // Neon Set // Striped Tee // Peplum Tee // Striped Shorts
For summer clothes, I'm already buying 3T for Ellie and I want to cry. How is she growing so fast? Carters has so many cute sets and rompers for 24 months, and that won't fit her anymore. When did my little baby become a dancing, silly toddler?
Are you going to take advantage of the sale? What are some of your picks?

Mama + Me: Chambray and Camo
Today's post is another easy outfit to wear for you and your littles. It's inspired by an outfit Ellie wore this week, actually. We have all of her outfit picks and she hasn't worn them together yet, but after dressing her in her camo leggings yesterday I thought about how could they would be with her chambray top. The lace headband adds just right feminine and girly touch to pull it all together. I love little guys in button down shirts, they always look so handsome in them. A nice chambray top is something everyone in the family needs in their closet. The material is so soft and easy to wear and play in. I wear mine nearly weekly, it was also nice when we were nursing, so it's been a fave for a while.

Mama + Me: Buffalo Plaid
After talking several times with my mommy friends, one post idea that has kept coming up repeatedly was Mommy + Me outfit ideas. I've been working on one long post for so long and it finally dawned on me that it would be easier to do one outfit at a time. Then I thought, what if I made this into a weekly feature? Is that something you guys would be interested in? Let me know in the comments!
So this week's outfits are pretty easy, buffalo print has been everywhere! I love the look and it works easily for the whole family.

I bought Ellie that plaid tunic last week and I'm kicking myself for not buying myself the top when it was 50% at Old Navy! Now I'm stalking the site and store for it to go on sale again.
Do you like to dress alike with your kiddos? Did you like this post? Let me know!

Fall Fashion Buys for Ellie
Ellie has so much summer stuff, I'm not sure that we'll have enough hot days for her to wear everything that still has tags. I bought her a bunch of clothes, but she also got a ton of items for her birthday in May. This fall/winter is supposed to be pretty cold and wet after having such a dry and hot summer. This week we've had some record breaking temps and it's miserably hot. I've started to buy some colder weather outfits for Ellie and wanted to share them on the blog.
I love shopping at Carters for Ellie, I've mentioned that before on a previous post. I just love their clothing options, they wash well, they don't fade, and fit true to size. Plus, I love how they to mix and match so easily. They have some of the cutest stuff right now and I scooped some items up at their store and from Kohl's. They're always having great deals and I lucked out during their 50% off sale with an additional discount coupon I had.
Polka dots, stripes, and cardis is what I've really been into for Ellie. I like to be able to layer her outfits and I love that these will all mix in with basics and each other. I've bought all 24 months for her and I expect her to wear them, if the temperatures drop, come October. I'm dying to see her in that gray top and leopard skinnies!
Here are some single items I've picked up for her. That pea coat is just killing me! I can't wait for her to wear it! Last year, my sister got her the cutest red pea coat I ever saw and it was such a warm winter she only got the chance to wear it for 10 minutes. I was so bummed out because it was the absolutely to die for! I'm loving the fur boots too, they are so cute in person- Ellie gave them a hug when I showed them to her! We actually have these striped leggings and I had to buy another pair for this season, she wore them all the time last year!
What have you been buying for your little ones? Where do you like to shop for them?

Trendy Tot Tuesday: Eleanor Lynn Mix and Match
Today I'm so happy to be guest hosting Trendy Tot Tuesday link-up today! Thank you Megan
at Table for Three, Kelly
at Modern Camelot, and Lindsay
at Baby Mama Drama for having me host. I love seeing each guest hostess and the link-ups to see what are some great pieces for Ellie to wear, new places to shop, and finding some awesome Etsy shops. Trendy Tot is a fun link up to show off your little one and their style. Plus, you get to show off some cute pics of your little sweetie.
I've shopped for Ellie since day one- it's so fun shopping for babies, but shopping for girls is extra delightful. I love baby clothes and there's so much variety available for our wee ones. I like to buy easy and comfortable pieces for her to wear that are easy to wear, wash well, and can be mixed and matched. I like to buy a variety of colors for her, but my favorite on her are blues and yellows. They just make her bright eyes pop! Oh, and we are headband obsessed! Here are some of my favorite things to buy for my little bunny.
The Carter's sets are great because you get a cute outfit, but each piece is so easy to match with other pieces that I've bought separately or from other sets. I like to get her fun prints that have a feminine touch like the ruffle long sleeves, jeweled buttons, or anything with a bow on it. Or has glitter.
The Trendy Tot of the week is the adorable miss Caprilee from "You, Me, and Capri" Don't you just love that hoodie on her?

- Trendy Tot Tuesday is a chance to talk about kid’s style, and pretty much anything goes. Pictures of your cutie, talking about their style (that you buy and dress them in, ahem!), a Polyvore board, linking to the new kid’s line at the Gap – anything! All ages welcome, from you sweet pregnant mamas stocking up a closet to the teenagers that probably pick all their own stuff out now
- This is a hop-style link up – please follow your hosts (Kelly at Modern Camelot, Lindsay at Baby Mama Drama, and Megan at Table for Three) as well as myself! We are in spots 1-4. Also, jump around to meet other bloggers! We hope everyone gains some new followers from this link-up and finds some fabulous new blogs!
- Please link back to (at least!) one of us, and feel free to steal our badge if you’d like. If you’re a tweeter or instagram-er, use #trendytot

Bumpdate Week 32
31 Weeks
(Yes, I'm wearing my Old Navy dress again, it's just so comfy!)
How far along? 31 weeks! (Each bumpdate reviews the week previous)
Total weight gain: At my last Dr appointment, I had gained 10.5 lbs, but I’m thinking I’m around 15 lbs now. I have a Dr appointment Friday so I'll know then and post it with next week’s bumpdate.
Stretch marks?: Besides Stretch Mark Gate (read about it here in Week 28) I haven't had any more pop up and the few I have on the underside of my chest have not grown or gotten worse. I'm still using the Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter every day and I must say, my skin is so soft from it! I'm still using my Skincare Ormedic Balancing Anti Oxidant Serum on the stretch marks. I figured if it worked miracles on my under eye area it may work miracles for stretch marks too.
Maternity clothes: Getting dressed is so boring now. I feel like I have nothing to wear and I still have 9 weeks left (well now only 8 weeks as of today)! I feel like I wear the same 5 or 6 outfits to work each week. I bought some new dresses (you can see them here in my recent purchases), but I leave for work at 6am and I’m just not brave enough to rock bare legs yet because it’s still freezing at that time, even though it’s warm when I get off work.
I'm still wearing my Old Navy Maternity Smooth-Panel Rockstar Jeggings (I bought two pairs) and my Kiki La'Rue Jeggings (which aren't maternity, but fit below my belly). I love these pants, they're all I wear at this point in the game.
My thank you cards from my baby shower are all done and mailed out! I found these pretty ones from Home Goods. I think it's so important to send thank you cards, people appreciate getting them and everyone I know loves getting good mail. It's a manner I'll force teach all my children as well.
Belly Button in or out?: Half and half right now, the top has been out for a while but I had a huge growth spurt Thursday night and my belly button is halfway out now. It looks so weird! I don’t think it will be out that far, but you never know.
Sleep: Sleep is better, I’m still warm and waking up once during the night to use the restroom and baby still prefers for me to sleep on my right side instead of my left, but I’ve woken up to some hip pain. To counteract this I’ve started the night off sleeping on my left to get more time on that side. Good news is that my leg cramps are gone!
Our IKEA Hemnes Dresser! (from this post)
We added our own knobs (two different kinds) and contact paper from Home Goods. I'll be doing a full post and where everything is from when the nursery is finished (whenever that may be).
Best moment this week: I’ve had three, first my sister-in-law’s wedding on Friday. It was such a beautiful wedding and I had a great time. It was a total honor being a bridesmaid!
Then on Sunday we had our maternity photos taken with Lovers of Love Photography, we found them through my sister-in-law who used them for their engagement and wedding photos. They’re the sweetest married couple and we had such a great time shooting with them. I can’t wait to get the photos and share them!
After this weekend slowed down a bit, we finally finished the baby’s dresser! I'm so glad to have it done, I also picked up a mirror and two frames. Can't wait to really put everything together.
Worst moment this week: Telling my husband that we need to re-arrange the nursery now that the furniture is in it. LOL. I’ve already had him move things once, and now I want them back to where they were because where I thought I wanted the crib doesn’t leave enough room between the edge of the closet and the edge of the crib. I mean, you don’t have to walk in sideways, but I don’t like how it looks. The room is kind of small and it was hard to envision how everything would look until I had all the furniture in there. The only thing is that the outlet that goes with the light switch is where we have the dresser now, so it totally works, but by switching the crib/dresser, the outlet will be by the crib now instead. So I'm thinking of using a tall lamp by the crib for when I need a lot of light, and using a small lamp on the dresser to turn on for less light/night changings. Boo-hiss.
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Seafood! On Monday we went to Red Lobster with the family and I wanted to eat everything on the menu. I miss having clams and mussels (they’re too high in mercury) or eating seafood more than once a week.
I ordered this headband from Groopdealz forever ago and it finally came in!
I love the gem/pearl details in the center of each flower.
Movement: Our little bunny moves all the time. At this point in the pregnancy you’re supposed to count kicks and movement, but I really don’t need to because she’s active so much. You can really tell how much she’s grown because her movements have changed and I can tell she has less room now.
Food cravings: Sprite (I want the carbonation), fruit, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing.
Have you started to show yet: Absolutely!
Can I please tell you how rude people are to pregnant people sometimes? It’s like they don’t have a filter. Yes, lots of people carry things for me, hold open doors, let me cut in front of them in line etc. which I’ve been reveling in, but the things that come out of people’s mouths astound me. Note: these are not the same people who are being so kind either. They say things like “Oh you looked so big before, but now that I’m closer you’re a lot smaller”, “Are you due next week? You look so big, do people tell you how big you look?” Thanks jerk faces! Like I need a reminder, I already know that I’m weighing in close to my husband and my sweatpants are too tight.
Then there’s the sweet women who have been pregnant before saying how pretty you look, how small you are, that you look just how you’re supposed to at this stage. I don’t care if they’re lying through their teeth, I love hearing such nice things. So to everyone reading, please don’t tell a pregnant woman how big they look, that they’re ready to pop, etc. instead compliment them about how they’re glowing and how beautiful they look pregnant. I don’t mind the weight I’ve gained or how I look because I feel great and our little girl will be our greatest joy, but sweet words can turn anyone’s day around in a heartbeat.
I ordered some adorable headbands from The Pink Ruffle on Etsy. They are so soft!
Gender: Team pink!
Symptoms: Still getting the hiccups daily, and I’m getting more and more tired as the weeks go by. I have yet to feel any bursts of energy. My pregnancy has been very easy and I haven’t had any extremes one way or the other which I’m thankful for, but I think that’s why I haven’t had any bursts or energy.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, happy, happy!
What I'm reading: No time for reading with all the excitement around the wedding, but I’ll get back to my routine reading this week. I can’t wait to start The Happiest Baby on the Block, I’ve been dying to read it!
Looking forward to: Putting together the nursery and organizing her room. We’ll move the furniture in the next few days and then I can add all the details her nursery. I’m so excited for it! It will be our most put together room in the apartment. I haven’t hung anything in our place, but I’m definitely going to hang some goodies for her room. Now I only need to paint a few items and pick up some pillows for our rocking chair!
