While on our family trip last week to St George, we snuck in a date night! It was so much fun and a much needed break. We headed to dinner at Sakura and then to see Newsies at Tuacahn. It's an outdoor amphitheater and it's incredible! All of the actors are so talented, most of them from New York and have performed on Broadway. I've seen Peter Pan and South Pacific in years past and was so excited to take Matt! It was actually his first play and he really enjoyed it! Sounds like we'll be going again!

Vegas: What I'm Packing
This weekend marks our 5th wedding anniversary and to celebrate, Matt and I are headed to Vegas! I'm so excited to get away and some time to ourselves. We rarely get any time for ourselves and when we do, it's always with an agenda. We have no plans and no schedule for the weekend and I can't wait! All we have on our to-do list is eat, sleep, and lounge by the pool. It's supposed to be cooler temps with possible rain so I'm not sure if we'll get too much time at the pool, but I'll be ready!
For the last week, I've been planning my outfits and what to pack and I finally had a chance to lay everything out to see how it would look together and make sure I don't forget anything. It's not a new concept by any means, but I like to lay everything out and see how I can make the most of what I want to pack. Can I mix and match them? Is there something I can leave home to keep a lighter bag? I always pack a few extra outfits or pieces like jeans or a cardigan and there's still one outfit I need to try on to see how they look together in real life, but I think I'm all set otherwise!
I've tried these shorts on so many times at Target and I've always loved them because they're so soft, but just never bought them. They're on sale for $15 and I thought they'd be perfect for walking the strip or driving home. My SIL gifted me this gorgeous blue handbag from my Spring Wishlist for my birthday and I can't wait to use it this weekend! There's a ton of pockets and the color is perfection!
If you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen this outfit- I wore it on Sunday to celebrate my birthday with a family BBQ. I'm obsessed with these pants and necklace! Palazzo pants are so cozy and soft to wear and they're great in the summer since they're so lightweight. The necklace is amazing, I won it from Brittany's IG giveaway and I love it! It pairs so perfect with the pants and my blue crossbody above, I always get so many compliments on it! It's a great statement piece for sure.
I'm still loving this outfit! It's definitely a go-to for me. I plan on wearing this for walking the strip and shopping during the day. I picked up this fun bright coral and haven't really had the chance to wear it, but I hope to bust it out this weekend.
I've been saving this look for a date night (see it on in this post) and we plan on doing a nice dinner one night and this is what I'm gonna wear. I LOVE the lace detailing on this top and flutter sleeves. It's so feminine and chic. I ordered a dress too last week and if it arrives in time, I'm going to pack that too as an alternative or second nice meal outfit.
Only three more sleeps until our trip! Can you tell I'm excited? I haven't been to Vegas in so long and I used to go all the time to party back in college. It's definitely going to be a different trip this time and I've never gone just Matt and I. I'm really looking forward for us to reconnect and get some adult time and recharge together.
What are your favorite Vegas shows and restaurants? He wanted to surprise me with Britney tickets, but she just had her last show last weekend! We want to check out a show while we're there, what do you suggest?

Tank // Shorts (Old Navy last year, similar here) // Purse // Necklace
I'll probably wear this outfit on the way there. This peplum tank has been on repeat a lot lately (I have it in white too), it's so easy to just throw on and head out the door. I bought these shorts last year when I was pregnant and they're so comfortable. They have pockets too! I wish I bought every pair last year, luckily a lot of shops have similar styles in this year so I can add some more to my closet.
Sunnies // Kimono (Forever 21 last year, similar here) // Top // Bottom
I'm really hoping and praying that there's good weather this weekend, because all I want to do is lounge around the pool and the hotel's lazy river. What's a vacation without a pool day?

Our Weekend
Happy Monday and happy February! Where has the time gone already? I can't believe we're already in the second month of the year! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, we had another great family weekend full of pizza, cuddles, and play-doh.
On Friday after work, we decided to go out for dinner instead of cooking at home. Ellie loves pizza and playing games so we went to a local family pizza place near our home. It was kind of late, but it was so much fun! The pizza was great and Ellie loved playing all the games. She even won 50 tickets playing some game and the look on her face was priceless! Now our diaper bag is full of useless "prizes", but she was so proud of herself and took her time picking out exactly what she wanted.
Saturday the girls and I ran some errands and did some chores around the house. I picked up some goodies at Ulta. I went in to check out some eyeshadow palettes, I'm torn between the Tarte Matte, Tarte Bloom, and the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani sets. The blush palette from the Gwen collab is truly stunning and I think I'll have to get that too. The colors are so gorgeous! Do you have any of these palettes? Let me know what you think of the sets! While I was there, I picked up the brow pencil and beauty sponge after Meg recommended it and I'm really happy with them both so far, I'll do a full review soon. I also grabbed the lip balm in Honey after Veronika posted about her favorite pinks, I love the color and how it feels on my lips. I want to buy more shades! It has a nice minty smell too. The clear mascara and matte bronzer are repeat buys for me.
That night Matt and I went out on a double date for dinner to Lucille's BBQ (their peach lemonade is my favorite). It was so much fun to have some adult time together! We really needed a break, the terrible twos have kicked in and this week has been a power struggle about everything will Ellie. We had a great time talking and laughing and it was nice to have some time just us.
Sunday it rained all day so we stayed home in our pajamas and worked around the house. Our front room walls have been bare since we moved in (although we put up a giant framed Santa at Christmas time) and I've just gone back and forth about how I want to decorate it. I finally got sick of the plain wall and hung up a few things we had to make the start of a gallery wall. I like it and I'm so glad we have something up. It's not my favorite and I'd like to add on to it, but it's a start!
We ended the night with some delicious chicken enchiladas and white sauce Matt made (he's amazing in the kitchen) and some cuddles on the couch with the girls. Another simple and great weekend for the books! Now a full week of work and the start of a new month! I can't believe January is already over!
Hope you all had a great day and today starts off your week and month to a wonderful start!

Recent Mommy Outfits
Just to preface this post, I only get dressed when we leave the house. Our week is full of errands, play dates, reading time, and the park and getting pulled together helps me feel accomplished. It's nothing fancy or groundbreaking, but I always like to see what other people wear on their day to day basis.
I wore this for a day of errands and doctor appointments for the girls. Immunizations are no fun and both girls had to get them, I definitely could have used a large slurpee after that appointment, it was tough to get through! In this post, I talked about this plaid tunic I had to go back and snag and I'm so happy I did! It fits really well and will be great to layer once the weather cools (if that ever happens!).
This outfit is worn weekly, it's just so easy to wear. This boyfriend tee is super comfortable and so easy to throw on and head out the door. The necklace is a teether and I'll be doing a full review soon!

We made it to church for the first time since having Emma and it felt so nice to fit into a pencil skirt! I haven't worn one in months and it's perfect to nurse in since I just have to untuck my shirt. That's one thing that's hard when you're breastfeeding, most dresses won't work. It's so hard to find dresses that button (or have sleeves for that matter).
Striped Tee // Shorts (old, similar here) // Necklace (c/o)

This hat has been one of my favorites and I'm so glad my aunt talked me into it! I was on the fence about buying it since I can't wear hats to work, but I've worn it a lot so far during my leave. I'm sure it will die down once I'm back to work and only have the weekend to really wear whatever I want (i.e. sweats).
So that's what I've been wearing during my leave while we're out. Once we get home, I always change into jammie bottoms and a tee. I like to be more comfortable when I'm home and I'm playing with the girls and relaxing. I'm pretty sure nearly every human being in the world does the exact same thing when they get home too.

Product Review: Michael Kors Jet Set + What's in my bag
For the past few months, I've been wanting a good crossbody, but have hemmed and hawed over which one I wanted to get. I've gone back and forth about what shape I wanted and then what color- a fun bright color or a classic neutral? When I saw this bag online, I had to have it. I included it in my Lust List and used some reward points I earned from work to buy it.
I'm really happy with all of it, the size it perfect! It's just big enough to fit what you need, but still small and easy to wear. Inside, there's two smaller pockets and one large pocket that goes across the side. The peanut color is a fantastic neutral, it matches with everything and the gold details are gorgeous. I love the gold chain details on each side of the strap. If I had to come up with a drawback, I would say I wish the straps could turn a full circle, but I think that would only mess up the chain and that's why MK chose not to have that feature.
One question I get a lot is how much can I keep in it/how much does it hold? So here is what i typically keep in it when I use it: a long wallet, glosses (MAC Creme Cup Lipstick and Underage Gloss, NYX Creme Brulee Gloss), and some candy. There's still some extra room available for my phone, keys, and sunglasses (I don't keep them in there permanently, just when I don't want to wear them- I'm afraid of breaking them) without any problem.
I'm very pleased with my purchase and I'm happy that I didn't buy one of the other purses I was looking at. One of them was the Kate Spade Cobble Hill Mini Carson, I still love that purse and my sister has it- it's a great shape. I just didn't care much for the neutral colors and love the soft pink one, but didn't think I'd get to use it as much. The other one I was contemplating was the Michael Kors Cindy Large Dome Crossbody, but decided to pass based on the shape. I thought I wouldn't get as much room with the dome shape as I would with the Jet Set rectangle. I also prefer the classic look and lines of the Jet Set crossbody. I think the Cindy Dome would be better larger as a handbag.
I would give this crossbody a 10 out of 10 and would definitely recommend it anyone who is looking for a decent sized, still small crossbody. It's well made, I don't think it will lose its shape, and it a great staple for any wardrobe. It's perfect for errands and weekend trips, fits the necessities and is easy to get in and out of.

Lust List
Spring is the worst season on my wallet, I swear. There's so many things I want and I feel like a child in a candy store. Ooh shiny! Ooh pink! Ooh nude! Ooh shimmer! It's ridiculous and since my wallet isn't as fat as it used to be in the "let's spend all of my money and pick up an extra shift this weekend because my bills and responsibilities are little" category I had in college, so I made a fun collage instead. Also, my birthday is coming up so hubs, if you read the blog, just click the links, add to cart, and check out. Please and thank you.
Sunnies- I love my cheapie cat eye sunglasses from Nordies, but I love these pink aviators, although I have no idea if they would work with my face shape.
Purse- I've had my eye on a few cross body bags (Michael Kors and Kate Spade) and I think this is the perfect size and shape. I love the chain detail and although I really would love a fun color, I think nude is best to get the most wear out of it. I was checking out their aquamarine, but my sister has a MK purse in that color and rarely uses and we both think it's more of a "summer only" type color.
Nikes- So I never work out, but I really need a new pair of tennis shoes. Do people still call it that? Anyways, my only want for work out shoes is a fun bright color (by "work out" I mean to wear with yoga pants that have never been to a yoga class).
Sandals- This season I really want a pair of dressier gladiator/strappy sandals. I've seen cute ones online for under $50 at Old Navy and Target, but they sell out so quickly. I'm looking for a pair like these that have a small wedge and would look great all summer with shorts and dresses and go perfectly with a cuffed pair of skinnies in the fall.
Earrings- Aren't these Derng earrings gorgeous?! I love the color and the mixed metals. I would definitely wear these all the time.
Blush- This MAC Dame blush has been on my radar for a while (I featured it in my Spring Beauty post) and since I found out my beloved Pink Swoon has been discontinued, I want this blush real bad. Like Elle's sidekick in Legally Blonde wanted a hot dog, that bad.
Ring- This ring has been in my cart from Stella and Dot since forever. Why haven't I bought? No clue. It reminds me of Olivia Pope's ring in Scandal (they're not really that similar, but it reminds me of it nonetheless) and I just love it. It's simple, chic, and right up my alley.
Wallet- I need a new wallet so badly. I'm so crazy picky about one that I've been using a small Coach coin purse/wristlet for much longer than I care to admit. Although, I do like that it's small enough to fit in my clutches and has a wristlet to whip out on a quick errand, I need a big girl wallet like yesterday. This bright yellow one makes me happy and I thought it would be a great way to get organized.
What items are you lusting over this season? Which season do you love to shop the most? Are you an add to wishlist/cart and never check out girl like me? Spill the beans ladies!

Springing into Spring
I don't know why I do this to myself, but I've been looking online at all the super cute stuff I don't plan on buying because of the bump. This spring already is showing so many cute so many things and whenever I see something gorgeous, I just smile with all the money I'm saving. LOL- it's the only thing that keeps me from adding the item to the cart. Plus, little Baby L is due at the beginning of summer so I can def buy things after, there's just no point in buying anything now until I know how things will fit me. Plus, let's be real, I'll living this summer in yoga pants (that have never been to yoga).
Anyways, here's all the things I want you to buy so I can live through you. Of course, I may pick up the items that the bump make no difference, like shoes.
Umm, how hot is this? Doesn't it just scream Rihanna and Beyonce? I picture wearing this w a cream blouse, skinny jeans, and cute wedges with a bright bag....then I picture baby girl ripping it from my neck. So please, someone enjoy it!
It is so hard to find thin long-sleeved dresses, this is perfect year-round. Great with strappy flats in the summer, and an easy transition into fall with boots and tights.
I'm in love with this shade! It's so fun and the perfect color to wear all summer long and into fall.
Again, the perfect spring dress! Super cute with flats and ideal dress for any BBQ.
Post-baby, I really don't know what type of a swimsuit I'll want to wear and feel comfortable in. I'm thinking I may just ditch bikinis altogether? This one-piece is perfect sexy and covers in all the right places. The gold hardware add some sass too.
I die. I love the simplicity of this wedge, but with some fun the braid adds.
For some time, I've been looking for a two-tone watch and think this may be the winner. It's sleek, simple, and chic. Great for everyday and matches everything.
How fun are these glasses? I love them!
I died when I saw these shoes. The cognac and black together make it ideal for any outfit. I love cognac and black mixed together, it's a timeless combination.
What do you have your eyes on this spring?

My Wishlist: Want, Need, Read, and Wear
Once I saw Jenn of Perfectly Imperfect post her wishlist, I knew I had to jump on the bandwagon. I've been waiting for Christmas all year long! Like I've said in some previous post, I love the holidays, but usually don't get all willy nilly for them until they're closer. Not this year. I've been waiting for Christmas since August. I've been listening to Christmas music all year long (never deleted my Christmas music playlist from my Ipod), mentally keeping a want list of my own and writing down what others have said they wanted during the year, and lighting my pine tree candle. Well, it's almost here! It's so close, I can taste the egg nog!
So here we go, I'm also copying Jenn's list with four items in each category. I mean, why not give Santa some options right?

OOTD: Mint & Glitter
Hi Everyone!
I just got back from Utah yesterday after spending 8 days with my family. This week's posts will be some that I had scheduled last week, but didn't feel it was appropriate to post with what was going on. Once I'm less emotional, I'll probably do a post about my trip, but for now I just wanted to thank all of you for the support and love you gave! Your comments, emails, tweets, and texts meant so much to me. My Grandmother's passing was very difficult, she meant the world to me. Despite the circumstances, my trip home was wonderful. It was so great to see family, some of which I haven't seen in years! Thank you again for being so sweet, I can't tell you how much your words made me smile and lifted my spirits. Hope you all have an amazing Monday and great start to the week!

The more OOTD pics I take the more I realize we need a better camera, my hubs need to take photography classes, and I need to learn how to use photoshop.
This dress is one of my new favorites, in real life it's almost a neon yellow. I love the lace overlay on the white, it's so fun and chic. I saw the dress a little bit ago at H&M, but the sizing just didn't fit me right and the price was great on it's own, but not low enough to also have it altered. Then H&M had it for half off over Labor Day weekend, boom. Sold. I couldn't wait to wear it before having it altered though so I just belted it. I plan on having it taken in because I'm almost swimming in it and then it will fit perfectly. I think it will look cute this fall with some boots and a trench.

OOTD- Sparkles

Old Navy Blouse (here)
F21 Skinnies (here, most comfortable jeans ever!)
Nine West Wedges (old)
Nordstrom BP Head Band (here)
Jewelry: Michael Kors watch, Tiffany Bracelet, Derng Bracelet, Junghwa Necklace
I love this top, it's so versatile and really comfortable to wear. I also like that it's so long, I think it will be fab over some liquid or printed leggings and will be super cute tucked in with a skirt. I think next time I wear it, I'll tuck it in and pair it with a leopard belt.

I'm obsessed with this head band! It's so gorgeous and really sparkles in the light and is gorgeous next my darker hair. Ever since I posted about fall trends, I went out and picked it right up! I can't wait to wear it with a cute messy bun. I really wasn't ready for fall, but it's slowly creeping in and I keep finding myself wanting dark nails and cozy sweaters.
