Recent Purchases

Over the weekend I bought the prettiest sandals ever, thanks to Danielle at Sweet Nothings who posted about them here and then made me fall in love with them. I seriously couldn't wait to buy these babies!

Let me introduce you to the DV by Dolce Vita 'Dakota' Sandal
They're available at Nordstrom's $59.55 or Endless $54
They also come in black, snake, white and pewter.

At first I was unsure if a sandal was really worth $60 and told myself if I didn't absolutely positively love them on I wouldn't buy them. My GF B agreed. Then I tried them on and she instantly said "get them" and I headed over to the counter and now they're mine. I love them.
Have you ladies found your must-have sandal this year? What is it?

I also purchased this e.l.f. Make-up Mist and Set.
Have you tried it?
Review coming soon!

OOTD & Weekend Re-Cap

Life has been crazy now that I'm back and a newlywed and I PROMISE you ladies (and gents!) that I will post nearly ALL pictures from the wedding. We should be getting our professional photos back in the next week and then I'll probably devote a full week of posting to the wedding; the details, bridal party pics, getting ready, couple pics, party pics, and then share with you guys the ones I've received from the party goers. I'd just like for you guys to see the pro shots first!

Ok, now I'd like to to a little catching up with you guys.

This weekend was so busy! The hubster and I hadn't moved in yet together (see my post about that here) so he left to go on an annual father/son fishing trip his family does every year while I got to catch-up with my girlfriends and get my room ready for him to move in when he returned.

My girlfriends and I wanted to see the movie "Bridesmaids" and met up at The Lazy Dog cafe for dinner beforehand...however it went too late and we missed the movie! The next one started too late for us so we decided to head out to Manhattan Beach for a night on the town. It was awesome and so much fun! We made it to the bar just in time for the rapture...that never happened. Lol. We may or may not have started the 10 second countdown at the bar like it was NYE. I love us.
I'm sad because the DJ wouldn't play Britney Spear's "Til The World Ends" on repeat for me.
Playing "Weekend at Bernie's" with my Grand Big Sis

I'm not sure if I've told you guys yet or not, but the Hubster and I have decided to move into my Mom's home while we save to buy our own place. My sister and I shared a Jack-and-Jill room (two rooms that connect to each other, but only one closet and entryway) and she moved out so Matt and I decided that the rooms would be a good fit for us. My room will be our bedroom and her old room will be a "living" room if you will. I spent the rest of my weekend cleaning and organizing and making room for my love to move his stuff over this week. It was a lot of work and will definitely be a work in progress because I need to do a MAJOR closet clean-out and decide if  really need those old prom dresses, clothes that I'm clinging too, and old odds and ends that I want for prosperity but have absolutely no use for.

Here's a pic of my hard work, here's all of his closet space:

Mind you, the closet is smaller than a dorm room sized one. There's also another side rack that had a small space for him. Like I said, this is definitely a work in progress for us. I made the Hubby promise me that our future home will include a walk-in closet and he's agreed so far. We moved a couch, dresser for the Hubs, and TV over and will bring his smaller items over this week. Then it's purge and store time for us baby!

Let me ask you blog friends, how was your move-in experience with your spouse/boyfriend?
How did you incorporate both of your styles together?
What challenges did you face and how did you solve them?

Summer List Guest Post by Everything According to Erin

This post was sadly neglected when Blogger was having some malfunctions last week so I wanted to re-post, because Erin freaking rocks and it's a fab fab post!

Hello lovelies!! I'm off until I return from my honeymoon. Please enjoy this post from  Erin from Everything According to Erin. She is one of my internet bffs AND we made it official on Facebook. LOL. She has great reviews, and I buy nearly every beauty product she does. We're a match made in heaven.

Hello Love, Lipstick and Pearls fans! This is Erin from Everything According to Erin. I am super honored to be guest blogging for Miss K while she is busy celebrating her marriage with all of her family and friends. First off I just want to say congrats! I am so happy for you and I wish you many years of love and happiness in your marriage. I'm glad to call you one of my bestie bloggie friends and it's been great getting to know you.

Ok, down to business folks. I've got some good stuff to share with you guys. If any of you read my blog, you know that I have pretty much the same interests as K: beauty products, clothes, fashion and of course hot men! So I'd like to share with you some of my favorites for this upcoming spring/summer season. I hope you enjoy!

- Your must have beauty item: One of my favorite beauty products hands down has to be Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin. I recently bought this item with a lot of influence from a couple of girlfriends and other bloggers. I fell in love with Sin, but they also have two other colors: Eden and Original. Sin has a natural shimmer to it that I can use as a primer, but it also has enought color to be used by itself which why this one is my favorite. The best part about this product is that my eyeshadow not only stays put for hours, but it also makes the colors just look better. I mean I can sleep in my makeup and wake up the next morning looking like I just put it on. Now that I recommend you do that, but sometimes things happen!
- An item you're lusting over this season: The item I am lusting over this season is a properly fitting Fedora hat. I must have tried on 30 of these hats last year and could never find one that looked exactly how I wanted it. I want a straw color with a black stripe. When I would try them on, they'd be too wide or I'd like them but they'd be a different color that I wasn't sold on. I've even found a couple that I was ready to buy only to find out they were over $50, which is just not reasonable to me. Now you can find these everywhere: Old Navy, Nordstroms, GAP, Target, etc. I think they are a cute accessory this summer with a simple white tank and jeans or with shorts and a blazer. So if any of you ladies know of another good place to check please send me a message over at my blog.

- Your favorite trend for spring/summer: My favorite trend this summer is maxi dresses. You can't have too many of them. They are perfect for summer whether you're at the beach, a picnic or a nice dinner out. I currently have 5 of these dresses and keep collecting them. If you haven't checked out Old Navy yet, I suggest you do. They have a HUGE selection right now and are so reasonably priced, you just can't go wrong with any of them. I recently bought 2 from there. The one I'm wearing in the picture is my favorite. I saw it in the commercial and just had to have it. I had to go to 3 different stores to find it and have gotten nothing but compliments on it every time I wear it. What do you guys think? A maxi dress and a fedora hat is this seasons cutest outfit in my opinion.

- What you're looking forward to this summer: Besides cute outfits and dusting off my flip flops, I am looking forward to 2 things this summer. One: is spending any time I can at the beach. We don't have anything planned as of yet for the summer, but we always take a few day trips when we can. This is going to sound really silly, but I can't wait to start cooking my summer recipes. I have become quite the chef since my bf and I moved in together and I love trying new things. I find that there are so many more fun recipes to try in the summer. Plus there's always more picnics, cookouts and parties when it's warm. I feel like I make something new every weekend. I can't wait to make things like Jell-O Tiramisu Bowl. You can find the recipe here.

Finally, I am so excited to see the Hangover II this summer. Bradley Cooper is one of my favorite leading men for many reasons. Not only is he easy on the eyes, but he is a Philly guy. I gotta show some love to a local boy. If any of you have seen him in A-team, he is constantly wearing Phillies shirts and to me he's hotter in that than any Armani suit-but that's just me ladies.

- Your favorite Hollywood Hot Man: Well a picture of Bradley Cooper is definitely a great way to end a post. I hope everyone enjoyed my guest post today, I know I enjoyed writing it! Take care guys and congrats to K!

Looks like Bradley Cooper is everyone's Hot Man! Finding a fedora is definitely difficult, IDK why they make them so large- I have that problem too.
Thank you so much Erin!

PS That maxi dress was everywhere on my honeymoon, all the lovely ladies had it at our resort!

I'm Back and I'm Married!!!

wowowowowowowowowowowow

That's all I really have to say right now.

The past two weeks have gone by SO quickly. I can't believe Matt and I have been married for over a week now, almost two weeks even!

The wedding was beautiful!! It looked exactly how I wanted it, our vows were beautiful, the reception was a ton of fun (as you can tell from the above pic) and I can't wait to share pictures with you guys! We should have our pictures back from our photographer pretty soon and I'm so excited to see them.

Our honeymoon was so relaxing, all we did was eat, lay out, drink, swim, eat more, and nap. It was glorious.

THANK YOU so much to all my guest bloggers, I loved your posts!

THANK YOU for all of your sweet comments, FB/Twitter messages, love and support! It really means a lot to me and made me feel so loved. Blogging has really given me so many friendships and I appreciate all of you and the bonds we've built. I feel like I know so many of you personally and we've never even met in person or talked on the phone, yet your opinions, blogs, and messages have helped me to grow, create, and open my eyes to new things.

THANK YOU to all of my friends and family, Matt and I are so happy together and love sharing our lives with you. The wedding could not have happened without all of your help, last minute errands, shoulders to cry on, your awesome cleaning and crafting skills, etc, or your love. This was such a special time for us and everyone really made it an amazing day for us.

Thank you everyone, we love you very much!

Now, I will be trying to get caught up at home, work, remaining wedding stuff, moving in together, and blogging! Oh and celebrity gossip and TV. Regular posting should start sometime next week :D
