Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow?

I'm finally getting my hair done this morning! I'm so excited. I LOVE getting my hair done. Being in the salon, chatting up with my stylist, coming out a new woman, it's the best feeling ever. I've really been thinking about cutting it shorter, into a longer bob or a lob. It's one of my favorite cuts and I've always gone back to it several times since high school. I feel so cliche to cut my hair after having a baby though. Or after your wedding. It's like you keep a look for so long for something and once the event is over, there goes your hair length or color.

What I like most about the lob is that it gives you the opportunity to cut your hair without it being too short and it still can be put up in a ponytail. For me, I consider it the best of both worlds. I adore short hair, I had it all through high school and really miss it sometimes, but short hair can be such a pain. You have to do it everyday and it can take longer to style than long hair. Right now I wash my hair 1-2 times a week and curl it only every 3 days and I don't know if I could keep that up with short hair. With a lob, I can. Here are my favorite cuts on celebrities.

I love that you have so much versatility with this cut. It looks great curled, messy, straight, and it's long enough to put up. I know I sound like a broken record, but maybe it's because I'm trying to talk myself into cutting off the few inches of length I have. Maybe I'll just get my hair colored and trimmed, but not cut. Who knows.

If I could walk out with any hair I wanted, it would have to be Blake's. She has the most beautiful hair in all the land. The color, the length, the messy curls, I die. Her hair always looks good, I've never seen it look bad. Ever. It's like it was weaved from threads of gold by Rumpelstiltskin. Her hair color is perfection, I want to get as close to her color as possible.

Fave Hollywood Couples

At work the other day we were talking about who are favorite celebrity couples are and I thought it was so interesting. I know that relationships can come and go, especially in Hollywood (I can't imagine the stress fame adds) so I know that as I'm typing this these couples may be broken up by the time I actually publish this post but here it goes anyways.

They are just so cute and remind me of the old Justin + Britney days.

This couple is amazing and I love that they're so successful and have been together for years.

Selena Has Spring Fever

Selena Gomez (see her Celebrity Inspiration post here) wore the prettiest spring outfit to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. It's so on-trend and my sis and I were talking about how she was our fave look there. The casual hair, soft floral top, white shorts, candy-colored heels and bright nails. I love love love it! It's such an easy look to wear and to re-create for any age. She's such a doll, you can't help but love her.

Celeb Inspiration: Selena Gomez

As the most recent woman with "Bieber Fever" I felt as though Selena Gomez is a fun up-and-coming fashionista to feature. I've always liked what she's worn to event and felt that she is one of the few teens who dress appropriately for their age. Also, I love her full head of hair. My hair is like a third or less of her thickness.

White Hot: It's not just for the summer anymore ladies! She pairs hers with nude shoes that help elongate her legs. That blue polish in the first pic just pops out to me! I love it!



Red Carpet: Selena is one of the few younger celebs who dresses appropriately for her age, which I think is definitely difficult to do at any age, let alone young teens. She chooses fun dresses that show just the right amount of skin. That sweetheart neckline doesn't hurt either- it flatters everyone!



Sea of Color: Miss Gomez isn't afraid to branch out in color and is making me yearn for warmer weather stat. The rich jewel tones and pastels plays up her skin tone and hair color. Note again, how nude shoes are a miracle worker.



Growing Up: For a casual section, I wanted to choose pieces that are a little more mature that show Selena growing up and would be easy for anyone to copy. I love the shorts and blazer paired together and I'm copying that scarf tie soon!

Best Dressed at Teen Choice Awards

Ok, so I know I'm a little late for this post, but better late than never right? I haven't watch the entire show, I'm halfway through it, but I made sure not to miss any red carpet coverage or blog posts!!


Here are my best dressed:

 

Amber Riley- Oooh girl, you're  looking SMOKING! Love the color, belted waist, colored shoes, and the hemline. Everything about this look was perfection! This is a perfect look for a hot date, work, or out with friends too.

 

Selena Gomez- She is always so cute and dressed appropriately. With this look, she still remains on my up and coming Red Carpet ladies. Love this fun white dress and the nude gladiator shoes are perfect for upping the ante.

 

Sandra Bullock- Motherhood is working for her, she is just beaming with happiness! This look is definitely justifying my recent purchase of liquid leggings for this fall and I must copy this look from her ASAP. Her smoky eye, loose curls, and killer shoes make this outfit h-o-t!

 

Kristen Bell- Love this color and the uniqueness of the dress. Her shoes are gorgeous nudes too!




My favorite of the night (beside Sandra and Amber) would have to be my girl Lea. However, please IGNORE her shoe choice. Those shoes, although nude and a perfect color choice, are horrendous! WAY too heavy to be worn with such a feminine and bold dress. Other than the shoes, her hair, make-up, jewelry and dress are gorgeous!!

Quick sidenote, when the HELL did Lea get so freaking thin??? I've read that since starting Glee she is working out regularly and has become vegan, but she looks thinner and thinner every time I see her. Here's a reference from the start of the Glee phenomenom at the Teen Choice Awards last year:

She's still really thin and in GREAT shape, but just a little bit curvier than she looked this year. I personally prefer her with the extra 5-7 lbs, she looked healthy and real- which is part of her appeal to me.

Sizzlin Summer Looks

Want to know the best place to be inspired for summer looks? The PYTs of Hollywood!! Spring & Summer are my absolute favorite seasons and I can't wait to bust out summer wardrobe.

The Kids' Choice Awards was filled with beauties and some gorgeous dresses:

Selena Gomez got the side braid memo! I loved this yellow on her too. Selena always looks fresh, young, and age-appropriate, which I adore.

Victoria Justice (who is that? Ya, good question) shows us a great way to dress with the season change- bright frock and dark shoes. The green color is so bright and gorgeous with her skin and hair. Plus, I'm really jealous of her lush locks.

Notice any trends? Bright shoes and spotted dresses! Wouldn't these make the cutest Easter outfits? They just scream spring to me!

Oh how I love Lea Michele! She looks so pretty in pink, I'm just in awe of her gorgeous (& subtle) make-up, the lush eyelashes, warm glow, and rosy cheeks.. sigh so pretty! Her dress is also super gorgeous with it's short hemline and fun sleeves to even out the legginess of the dress. Which is your favorite look? Did you watch the award show?
