Celeb Inspiration: Liv Tyler

I've been a fan of Liv Tyler since Empire Records and I never looked back. Liv is definitely a rockstar's child, her style is always fashion forward, flashy, and never boring. She always has a unique twist on the most basic of looks. Plus, I think she'd be such a doll in real life, every girl's bff. I just love her look and think I would wear everything she wears (even the stuff I didn't picture). She puts the looks together so easily, even her most glamorous looks are never over done.
Red Carpet: Liv always pulls out the glitz for red carpet events and I'm pretty sure she'd be easy to spot at a party with all her flair.

Tuxedo Jackets: Miss Tyler makes the most of this basic staple, pairing it with evening wear and taking a casual outfit to the next level. Wearing the jacket in bold colors or patterns keeps her in front of the trend.

Not Your Basic Black: Black is so easy to wear, but Liv livens it up with bright hues, punches of colored accessories and unexpected details.

What do you think of Liv's style? Do you love it? Do you think it would be easy to copy/wear?
What was your favorite look?

Another Awesome Braid

A few weeks ago, Kim Kardashian's braid she wore to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was a huge hit with you ladies (check it out here if you missed it) and I was trolling my saved pictures that I keep for fashion/beauty inspiration and these two caught my eye!

Now, I've down a braid like this before, of course I don't have any pics to show you... yet- I'll rock it again, but it was so easy! It's similar to braiding the big side of your part (by big I mean the side with more hair), but this allows you to rock hair in the front and still rock a braid. Two for one, bananas.

Do you like it? Do you think it's too much?

Do you think braids will ever be out? I sure hope not, because I've always rocked them- it's just such a simple way to keep your hair out of your face. What's your favorite braid trend so far?

New Transitional Look to Try

Photobucket

Doesn't Liv Tyler look so chic? I saw this and thought, "Oh what a cute outfit for work!". I think it would be so easy to pull of and is a great transitional outfit from winter into spring. Plus, you probably would be able to shop your own closet.

Just pair your favorite colored cardigan with matching tights, making sure to keep your dress and accessories minimal. I think open toed heel or ballet flats would look great and gladiator heels would add some edge to the outfit as well. Other colors that would also look good would be purple and green.

I've worn plenty of patterned tights to work, and although my boss makes fun of me, it is acceptable attire for our office. I once wore lilac lace tights and my boss and co-worker made fun of me, but I had two guys offer their numbers to me! I left for lunch and came back with a note that read "I like your tights, give me a call" ha ha.

What do you ladies think? Would you dare to wear such bright tights?

Here's some options on how to re-create Liv's look:
