I Can See Your Halo- Angel Game

Last week, my BF's friend and his girlfriend scored some free tickets to the Angel game. Although I don't care about baseball, I can't turn anything free down. Plus, watching sports live is great. We had a fun time with them and stayed out far too late enjoying ourselves. Thanks again C and K!

Funny story; when the group picked me up my BF quickly quipped that he could see my bra through my shirt, then when I turned to face him he was shocked that it was completely see through. I told him that it was "fashion" and you're supposed to see it. He then announced it to K and C just for their information. Ha ha! Then when we were at the stadium, I overheard a group of high school boys saying "Ohmygosh, you could totally see that girl's bra!". Just so we're all aware, the shirt is not anymore see through than in the pics and I totally wore a "granny" type bra under.

Was I wrong to wear it this way? How should I wear it the next time? When I bought this top, I bought it with this particular outfit in mind. I've seen it styled this way in magazines and on the runway and I felt kinda hot wearing it. Maybe it just didn't translate well into the real world? What are your thoughts?

Have You Ever Been to the Horse Races?

It is so exciting! You can spend the whole night there without spending your whole pay check either. They even have $1 hot dogs and beers!! I placed small bets ($1 and $3) on every horse and chose my horses mostly based on whether I like their names, if their name was special to me in some way, and how fast the horse in the races are. This is a great idea for a date or group outing, everyone is yelling for the horses and seeing who is winning and betting on, plus there are people of all ages there. My grandpa used to go all the time with some of my family members and I remember him taking me once when I was little- one of my favorite memories of him.
Here is a pic of me and my winning ticket, I bet on one horse to win and it did! (It was also my 3rd winning bet of the night)

Most Entertaining Lunch EVER

My co-worker S. and I have planned on going to lunch together for a while. We like to try new places and we're both on a budget, so we make great lunch buddies. Plus he finishes everything I don't eat. Everyday on our way home from work we pass a nice establishment called The Show at Papa Joe's that advertises any big sporting events or big deals. They have a new $5 lunch special Monday- Friday.

Awesome! S. and I are going!!!

Here is what an overview about the restaurant I found online:
Welcome to The Show At Papa Joe's! We specialize in delicious and reasonably priced cuisine, including our house specialties and other customer favorites. Our cuisine entrees are served in a relaxed and welcoming setting that you and your friends and family are sure to enjoy. Whether you are inthe mood to indulge in something new or just want to enjoy some oldfavorites, we promise that our inventive menu and attentive service willleave you truly satisfied. No matter what your occasion calls for or yourappetite demands, the friendly staff at The Show At Papa Joe's promise to makeyour next dining experience a pleasant one.

No problem here! Sounds like a great place for lunch right????
We walk in, and it's all dark. The fans have spots for 3 lightbulbs and there's only 1 lightbulb in each....a red lightbulb.

No worries, $5 for lunch, I will make it work.

We walk in further....there's a stripper pole. And a dancer on it.

Whatever, I've worked for Budweiser, this place has nothing on the places I've been to.
The lunch includes a burger, fries, and a BEER!!! $5 even too, including tax!!

Overall , the lunch is legit. It's a great burger and pretty cheap!!
S. and I couldn't stop laughing that we were eating at an "entertainment" bar though.

Coming up in the world....

After a horrible week of work (how can it be, it's a short week after all... and the boss left for a 2 week vacation!), I thought today would never end. Today was supposed to be an easy day; no boss, no crazy co-worker, and my Friday, however, everyone decided to call our office, need certificates, and complain today. Then the best thing since sliced bread came......

WE GOT FREE PIES!!!

Since everyone was out of the office or left to start their weekend early, my co-worker S. and I are now devouring our own pies like fatties. I have apple and he has chocolate pudding. No we didn't slice them and eat them like respectable and well-mannered people, we're eating them from the center first with a fork. We're also taking them home and not sharing. Yay us.

ps we ate them on the way home too, with our hands. keepin classy.
