My Bridal Shower Make-up

For the shower, I had planned on doing my make-up myself, but I needed to get some things from MAC so I figured I should take full advantage and also get my make-up done as well. I mean why the H not right?

So, for my inspiration, I literally said "I want to look like Carrie Underwood but with some fun. Like blue mascara or eyeliner". I explained my Alice in Wonderland theme, and the artist just rolled with it. I'm so happy with the results, it was just perfect!

Check it out (these pics are from the end of the day, I'm already in my pjs):

On my eyes she used All that Glitters, Woodwinked (both I already own and love), Soba and I don't remember the one in the crease, sorry ladies! I bought the Soba right away, it's a soft golden tan with some shimmer. For the blue lashes tips the artist used Liquidlast Liner in Aqualine to paint the lashes. It was so much fun and a few people stopped dead to watch her do it and complimented her mad skills while I was getting it done. These pictures, really don't do it justice, the whole look was so pretty in person.

I'll be doing a review on the lips soon because I bought that too, you all know how much I love make-up. I've been sporting the three shadows above and love how they look together! It's such a soft combination and a deep chocolate looks great in the crease for a more dramatic look. It's very Carrie Underwood-ish I feel and received several compliments from co-workers about my eyes.

Here's the colors together doing it on my own for work, All That Glitters on my whole lid, Woodwinked on the top and crease of my lid, and Soba blended into the crease. It's very soft and pefect for daytie.:

Have you ladies tried any of these products before? What about colored mascara? I have had some glitter liner before and brushed it over my lashes for some pizzazz, but the colored lashes on just the ends I think are so cool. It's so different, but I didn't feel weird or aware even that I had aqua lashes.

Katy Perry OPI Teenage Dream Dupe!

Since Katy Perry's OPI Collection came out, I have been on the hunt to pick up the pink sparkly Teenage Dream color. I've seen it all over the web and love it. However, every store I've been to is all sold out, it's such a bummer!  I refused to be defeated though and found a great duplicate of the color for only $2.50! What a steal!
Sinful Colors in Pinky Glitter just ONE COAT!

I'm pretty excited I found a color so similar and with such great color in only one coat. I'm quite impressed! It's not exactly the same shade, but I'm pretty satisfied with how similar they are. If you want to check out the Teenage Dream swatches or the entire collection, check out All Lacquered Up's post here.

My Alice In Wonderland Bridal Shower Part 2- The Party

Again, THANK YOU to all of my bridesmaids, my friends, and my family. I cannot thank you enough. My entire shower was so amazing and special. We played some pretty fun games at the shower (email if you're interested in them, I'd be happy to send them forward). The shower came together so beautifully and I will always remember it. It was so great seeing everyone and catching up with friends and family I don't get to see as often. Thank you thank you thank you!

Here I am with my bridemaids- all but one who was sick :(  and sorority sisters:

With some of my family
My Mom (on the far right) with her friend from junior high (far left) and her daughter and grandson. Can you believe they've been friends for so long? Through marriages, moving out of state, children etc. they've always kept in contact. She has two daughters who I grew up with and we have some of the best memories! The one pictured is actually one of my Fiance's sisters friends from school. Isn't is such a small world? I grew up in UT and my only friend not related to me in CA knew my future husband. We didn't meet through them either! Crazy crazy crazy!

During the party:

Here's Baby D helping me open the gifts, and EACH time he would say "Oh wow" it was so cute!

But then, he got bored ha ha ha

The end of the day, all my sorority sisters together:

The whole day went by so quickly and even though I felt like I took SO many pictures, I still feel like  don't have enough! There's so many pictures I didn't get and so many people I didn't get a picture with- like one with my mom and I together, or both of our moms, or all the family together, or a group shot, or....geez I don't know HOW IN THE WORLD I missed them.. I can only imagine how the wedding will feel! Even some of these pictures are the best of quality because you don't want to stop and photograph everything because you want to live in the moment.

I'm so ready for the bach party and wedding now! The shower came at just the right time when I was sick of the planning and needed some fun!
