Product Review: ELF Studio Single Eyeshadows

In my e.l.f. haul, I got the e.l.f. Studio Single Eyeshadows in Saddle and Coffee Bean. At first I didn't think much of the shadows, but holy moly! I was so surprised with their pigmentation and lasting power. These shadows seriously stick without any primer. By the end of my work day my shadow looks just perfect as when I applied it, 8-10 hours earlier. They also blend easily, which is perfect to use in combination with other shadows. I think the biggest con is that there's not more colors to choose from.

Saddle                                       Coffee Bean

Coffee Bean is my favorite of the two, it's a dark brown with some shimmer in it. I've been wearing it alone on my lid and as bottom liner and have received tons of compliments! It's my new go to shadow and use it along with my MAC Favorites. The shade is so versatile, it's light enough for day wear, but dark enough to take you from the office to a night on the town. Saddle is a little blah for me, it is true to color, but doesn't seem to last quite as long as Coffee Bean and doesn't have any shimmer to it and I love shimmer in shadows. I've been reading other reviews and it seems to just matter what color you buy for pigmentation and lasting power, but I think that goes with all shadow brands I've used.

Here's Coffee Bean and how it lasted throughout the day (no primer):

9AM: Pretty and perfect, I love the shimmer in this color.

2PM: Pretty much the same as the morning, still going strong!

8PM: Some fading and creasing, nothing too major, but noticeable up close

Overall, I really liked these shadows. I would recommend everyone to buy Coffee Bean on their next e.l.f. purchase, but I wish there were more colors to choose from. My next shadow purchase with them will probably be Amethyst and Wild Wheat, but I'll probably skip the other colors.

Have you tried e.l.f. shadows before? Which colors worked best for you? Have you bought a palette from them, I've been checking them our and think I might give them a whirl.

Those are my favorite -- you'll LOVE the amethyst! It's my absolute go to shade.

ELF is such a good makeup brand for being so cheap!

Nice! I'm going to have to try this, I'm always looking for pretty neutral shades.

I have the ELF eyeshadow in Saddle too! I love to use it when I'm doing a matte eye look. I think ELF has some really awesome products for really cheap! Although some of their products are not worth repurchasing, but they are so cheap it doesn't really make a difference to me! lol

I have several of the Studio pallettes. They have a wide variety of color and a majority of them have a good amount of pigmentation. If they are a bit weak I just layer them to get the desired look. Elf brushes are great! I wonder why I have spent SOOOO much mone on my brushes (and make up) in the past. I will continue to buy other brands (just becuase I love make up), but Elf is a great deal and well worth your $$. ~Karie
