Vlog: How-To Donut Bun

Many of you emailed me after my hair donut review on how to use it, so I thought I'd post a video for you ladies. It's seriously so easy!

Wow. I love how Vimeo chooses the most flattering screen shots as the opening.

Like I said in the video, this bun is half-assed so it's not the best outcome. Plus, I didn't even notice the gigantic loose side I have going on until later. Oops.

One thing to note, is that I did this with fresh washed hair that had been straightened and I think it's easier with hair that's at least a day old and curled because your hair is easier to manipulate.

But, as you can see, the bun takes just a few minutes to create and there's a variety of looks and ways to wear it. I hope this video helps!

I couldn't wait to copy this look I found on Pinterest. It's so cozy and easy to wear. I wore it over the weekend while getting my hair done and although I was dressed a bit too warm, I loved the look.

After seeing Life is Reed-iculous' post on this sweater, I had to run out and pick it up. #1 skull and crossbones is my sorority symbol (Chi O til I die yo!) and #2 it's an awesome sweater. All the boys at work thought it was so cool and they couldn't help but laugh when I told them it was from the boys' section at Target. 

Target sweater and skinny slacks, basic white tank. Oh and super large faux pearl earrings (another Chi O memento, it's one of our jewels).

The Weekend in Phone Pics

I went and visited my sister in SD and it was a quick trip, but so much fun! We went to a great taco shop, had some wine and cheese, watched some movies, and went to The Crab Hut where we went to town eating with our hands on some crawfish, clams, and mussels. Delicious!
