People Magazine's 10 Best Dressed

People Magazine came out with their 10 Best Dressed for this year. Here's the list:
-Jennifer Aniston
-Rihanna
-Jessica Alba
-Lea Michele
-Zoe Saldana
-Gwen Stefani
-Kate Middleton
-Rachel Bilson
-Olivia Palermo
-Diane Kruger

Do you agree? For the most part I do, I don't think that Jennifer Aniston should be on there- she so boring and she had a lot of so-so moments this year, Rihanna would be on my list for last year, but I feel that this year she's in a weird transition period for her style. Gwen Stefani does always look fabulous, but I don't know many people who copy her style because it's not something most everyday women can pull off. Kate Middleton- she's Prince William's boo if you don't recognize her name. I wouldn't list her just because most people don't really know who she is.

Here's my updated 10 Best Dressed for 2010 to replace those four, but keeping the remaining six:

-Blake Lively: She always looks fabulous and sexy!
-Cameron Diaz: This year's Oscar dresses blew me away! Plus her everyday style is gorgeous.
-Dakota Fanning: Love her red carpet choices and she always dresses her age.
-Lady Gaga: Would I wear everything she does? Hell no. Do most everyday women wear what she wears? Hell no. But is she not afraid to be who she is and uses fashion to make a statement? Hell yes and that's why she's on my list.

Who's on your list? What do you think of People's 10 Best Dressed?

Motorcycle Boots, I'm Obsessed

Remember how much I loved Ashley Tisdale's motorcycle boots (in this post)? I just couldn't help myself from buying a pair!

I've worn them a few times, but it's too hot over here in CA to keep wearing them, so they'll have to wait for cooler temps. This was such a great buy, they're really comfortable and I can't wait to wear them with dresse, jeans and leggings this fall.

I was kind of worried about the exposed zipper, but it looks really cool in person. I ordered them in black from Go Jane for $31.90.

Target has some really similar ones here you can check out locally and try on before buying. I saw them this weekend, and they look much better in person than online. They have them in black or brown as well.

Cameron Diaz wore a pair she owns that she kept from her Knight and Day movie in the July issue of InStyle and that when I first fell in love with motorcycle boots.

Recently, I've really been on a kick about feminine outfits with tough accents (see Zoe Saldana and Ashley Tisdale Celeb Inspiration posts). I think it's such a fun, sexy way to style outfits and I'm hoping to just pick up some key pieces to mix into my wardrobe.

Have you bought any boots for fall? What styles are you shopping for?

Celeb Inspiration: Cameron Diaz

Since I have Katy Perry's new song "California Girls" stuck in my head, I figured who else would be a perfect Celeb Inspiration than Cameron? This lady has a great casual sense of style, but can really bring it on the red carpet. There were SO many pictures I wanted to feature of her, but tried to stick with this 30 or so (lol). Her style is very laid back, but still chic. Even on the red carpet her hair is never fussy. I'll give a break down of all her different looks.

Street Casual- First, her street casual (some relaxed red carpet pics were included) is so chic. I don't know of any woman who can work a pair of jeans like her. She has amazing legs and her jean choices really show them off. She also looks very polished, even when "dressing down". A huge key to Cameron's style is her accessories. Most of her outfits are pretty basic (white button down, basic tees/tanks, dark jeans), but what really pulls her look together is how she wears them- scarfs, jackets, killer shoes, or a great bag help to step up her look helping her go from "just another day" to "I'm game for anything".

Her boots were made for walkin! Focusing on her major accessory of choice, just take a look at how Cameron uses her shoes to make a statement:

She takeS advantage of shoes bright colors to snazzy up anything she wears. Could you imagine her closet? Although I've seen leopard heels around, I never felt like I needed a pair until now.

Stylishly Chic-Miss Diaz knows how to look so chic with a short hemline and chooses dresses that show her great physique. If she's not using colored shoes, her go-to shoe is nude, elongating her lean stems.

Red carpet- Cameron doesn't miss a beat bringing glamour to special events. What I admire most about her style is her courageousness. She's not afraid of different cuts, colors, or using jewelry to add some color. My favorite looks of hers would be the long gold 70s-ish dress (remind me of Goldie Hawn), her gorgeous fuschia gown with turquoise jewelry, and her recent Oscar dress.

Oscar Fashion Review

Here are my best dressed:
Photobucket

Kristen Stewart killed it last night (although her personality is a blackhole). I've never seen her look so gorgeous before! Her hair was pulled up elegantly, her dress was dark and glamorous, I hope I see her like this more on the red carpet in the future.

Photobucket

Cameron Diaz was a glamazon last night! I don't think I've ever seen her look so classic as she does in this beautifully beaded dress, bright lips, and gorgeous long hair. I love love loved it!

Photobucket

I never thought I'd see Miley Cyrus on my best dressed list. Who knew!? I thought she looked really elegant and I adored her hair and makeup. The top of this dress was gorgeous!

For best dressed male I thought Ryan Reynolds looked fab! I think it's really hard for men to stand out when they don't get a lot of options for a tuxedo. They kind of just get lost along the sea of beautiful women.
Photobucket

I loved that his jacket went a bit lower than other ones, the classic black buttons on his shirt, and his crisp bow tie was to GQ. Kudos Ryan for standing out!

Honorable mentions go to the following:
Photobucket

Meryl Streep is always a beauty.

Photobucket

Queen Latifah is always glamorous.

Photobucket

Amanda Seyfried looked great in this wedding-esque dress.

Photobucket

Jake Gyllenhaal would look great in anything....especially nothing at all.

Photobucket

Brian Geraghty, I loved how he brought some youth to his "penguin" suit with his spiky hair.

Here's my worst dressed:
Photobucket

Zoe Saldana has been one of the most gorgeous women on the red carpet lately, but I just didn't care for this dress. I felt that the bottom didn't match the top and it should have been either-or.

Photobucket

Carey Mulligan's jewelry was breathtaking and I liked the top of this dress, but I hated how it came up in the front. I think it's a really hard look to pull off and it reminds me too much of a bad homecoming dress. This would have been a perfect look if either a) the front came up higher, just above her knees or b) was floor length in the front.

Photobucket

Mariah Carey needs to step it up already. I know she has beautiful curves and great legs, find something that is classy and sexy. Find a new stylist.

Who did you think was best dressed? Worst dressed? Did you watch the awards? Or just the red carpet coverage?

Did you notice that there was very little smoky eyes? A lot of women went for a more natural look. I loved it, and to me it said "I'm ready for summer!"
