Who Wore It Best? Round 3

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Forgive me, but I do not know this woman's name and I've searched and searched. I can find her picture, but not her name, so if you know it, please let me know! Anyways, here is this gorgeous gal at the New Moon premiere in LA. Now, her dress is completely different than mine, but it's the same fabric. I like the shoulders on hers, it gives it even more of an animal feel (if that's even possible).

Please note, that I do these "contests" as just a joke, but want to show how you can copy any one's outfit or find something in your closet that's inspired by something they've worn. I keep an inspiration board at home (I'll do a future post about it) that I can look at when I don't know what I feel like wearing, how to do my hair or makeup, etc. I categorize it in categories and even have a "To Buy" section so when I go shopping, I don't just buy whatever, but look for certain pieces that will add to my wardrobe that I can wear over and over again.

If you're on a budget, need inspiration, want to check out some great buys, please check out The Look 4 Less and Fashion Under $100. They are some of my favorite blogs and I make sure to check them out daily (sometimes multiple times). These ladies have great style and a keen eye for fashion and steals. Feel free to write into them about an event or certain piece you don't know how to wear, or something you're lusting after and they will be sure to help you out!

Product Review: Ulta Eyeshadow Review

Last week, Ulta had a sale on their home brand makeup and I loaded up on some great eyeshadow shades that are regularly $7 and on sale for $3.

Photobucket
I bought Molten, Lustre, Truffle, and Silk.

Photobucket
I was the most excited for Molten, it's a chocolate brown with gold shimmer. It looked gorgeous when I tested it on my hand and looked even better on my lids the next day.....at least until 3pm anyways. That's about the time the eyeshadow randomly disappeared in patches. Now, I don't have oily skin and only have a problem with fading eye shadow with less quality products. I gave it another shot, but with MAC Primer under and it lasted the night. Overall, its ok (but should definitely be worn with something to help it stick), but I think its worth the extra cash to get better quality shadows.

Do you wear Ulta brand makeup? What shades do you like?

What brands are you loyal too? Nearly all of my eye shadow is MAC and the ones I use the most are; Typographic, Print, Hoodwinked, Romp, and Phloof.

My Fave Looks from the Globes

Ok, I know I'm a little late, but I had to catch up from my vacation this weekend.
Photobucket

Lea Michele- This is my #1 pick. I love anything Oscar de la Renta and this dress looks divine on her. Her makeup is perfect and her hair and jewels are subtle, letting her dress have center stage. She is definitely going to be a big trendsetter.

Photobucket

Penelope Cruz- This is another on my favorite looks #1.5. Penelope is one of the most gorgeous and sexiest women. I love the shape of this dress- one of her signature styles-but the neckline is what really draws my attention.

Photobucket

Jane Krakowski- This is a great color on her, she's look so sexy and classy! Purple is a great transitional color to wear when going into fall or from winter into spring.

Photobucket

Kristen Bell- She's such a cutie! She reminds me of the perfect girl-next-door. Plus, she's wearing winter's hottest color!

Photobucket

Heidi & Seal- Okay, when does Heidi not look hot? I love the fun at the bottom of this dress, the pink in her cheeks, and her loose hair. They are one of my favorite couples.

Photobucket

Marion Cotilliard- Sexy sexy! Marion always wears great red carpet dresses and is always dressed to make you take a double take. Remember the mermaid dress she wore when she won the Oscar? Her dress also shows a little naughty with the lace showing with her slip-which is going to be a huge look this spring.

Photobucket

Samantha Harris- Ruffles and the hot summer color? I'm in!

Photobucket

Julia Roberts- Okay, I don't like this look for the red carpet because it's so casual, but it would definitely make a great lunch outfit and would be really easy to copy.

Orange Crush

Photobucket

Here's Amber Valetta at the premiere of The Spy Next Door rocking a hot mini and I've heard that orange will be a new "it" color for summer and I'm all for it! Orange is such a fun vibrant color and I think it's time it gets a little bit more attention. A few years ago, all I wanted was a fun orange dress for my sorority's semi-formal, I looked everywhere for an orange dress, but to no avail- it just wasn't a hot color at that time. So, I did what any fashion forward girl would do and I designed and had a dress made. It has to be my favorite dress I ever wore! It fit perfect and made me stand out and was so much fun to dance in....until I had a fashion mishap anyways.

Here's a pic of my dress from that night back in 2007:

You might think that orange isn't for you, but don't pout just yet! Everyone can wear a shade of orange, you just need to find one that fits your skin tone and hair color.
Here are some examples of gorgeous ladies all rocking different shades of orange:

As you can see, these ladies looked great in both bright and light orange colors, regardless of skin tone or hair color. The key to pulling off orange is finding the right tone, whether it has a pink or golden undertones. Don't know your skin tone? Which color looks best on you, gold or silver? If gold looks best, you have a warm skin tone and can pull off the more vibrant orange colors. If silver looks best, you have a cool skin tone, lean more towards the yellow hued if you have light hair or the orange-brown colors if you have darker hair. If you're too shy to go all out, try an orange bag, scarf, or headband to add some color to your outfits.
How do you feel about orange? Do you wear a lot of it? Are you looking to wear it this summer?
