Best Dressed at Met Costume Gala 2011

So I know that I already did my last post before I leave, but I just couldn't help myself from posting my favorites pics from last night's Met Gala. Swoon. The ladies looked lovely and I thought there were only a few WTFs.

I also wanted to thank everyone again for all your love and support about the wedding! It's been incredible and I really appreciate each email, text, FB message and tweet!

I loved the ladies in gold (or nude, whatevs)!! SJP and Blake Lively rarely ever look bad, they know how to do a red carpet event right everytime. Little Hailee Steinfeld is on her way too. I know Iman is a little out there and may not be on everyone's best dressed list, but I think she killed it in that outfit. It makes me think that's how a superhero would dress for a night on the town.

Red hot ladies! What sealed the deal with me with the Mary-Kate is her beachy hair. I love. The Glee ladies looked lovely as well.

Brooklyn looks divine in this color. Her hair is really growing on me!

Ok, for reals ladies. How old-school glamour does Florence look?? I love it.

Who were your favorites?

Best Dressed at the SAGs

I was too late to post about the GG, but I'm on top of the SAGs!

Some of the ladies of Glee killed it, per usual! Sorry Naya, you just haven't quite got it yet. I'm still in love with these three ladies, they really know how to bring it to the red carpet.

Modern Family looked H-O-T too. I know Julie Bowen's look is controversial since it's a pantsuit, but I think she wore it really well.

These ladies were also GORGEOUS! These mothers-to-be were stunning this year and their dresses showed off their growing bumps while still being nothing but stunning.

Angie Harmon, your dress I think is my fave overall. It's just lovely. It would be the cutest wedding dress too.

Lea Michele- Triple Threat

My girl crush Lea Michele of Glee recognized as Billboard’s very first Triple Threat Award at the Billboard's Women in Music event!

Isn't that amazing? I just love her! However, her character Rachel Berry is driving me nuts this season! This last episode was killer, if you watch you know what I mean, but I don't want to give anything away in case you haven't watched it yet. Lea isn't just one of my girl crushes because of her glamorous red carpet choices, but also because her voice is PHENOMENAL! So is her acting! I'm just soaking her up this year and look forward to watching her career grow.

The award was made specifically for her, here's what she had to say in her speech (via WetPaint) "I really don't know what to say, this is so amazing," Lea said during her acceptance speech. "I just want to thank Billboard so much; we just work so hard at Glee to make our singing and our dancing and our acting and every week putting together these full epsiodes. It's so awesome." Awesome indeed sister.

It's All In The Eyes

Tell me ladies, what's your eye beauty routine? Namely, what do you do with your bottom lid and lashes?

Do you go full out eyeliner, eyeshadow on the bottom and mega mascara like these bombshells?

Do you wear liner but no mascara or vice versa like these pretty young things?

Or are you more natural like these beauties?

I tend to switch my look up depending on where I'm going and what I'm doing. Before, I never used to wear mascara on my bottom lashes- just liner or nothing at all, but this year I've started putting mascara on the bottom lashes regardless of whether or not I'm wearing liner. It can kind of be a pain because I have long lashes and the tips will get mascara onto my cheeks and I have to clean it up, but I like the overall look it gives. I feel more "done" when I wear mascara or liner on the bottom. A naked bottom eye can always be appreciated though in my book and I still rock it from time to time.

GQ "Glee Gone Wild" photoshoot, is it really THAT big of a deal??

Maybe you haven't heard the buzz yet, but GQ did a recent layout of "Glee Gone Wild" where three of the characters; Cory Monteith, Lea Michele, and Dianna Agron are photographed as sexed up versions of their characters.
The shoot has been seen as "borders on pedophilia," by The Parents Television Council because they play high schoolers on the popular show. Dianna and Lea have both apologized for the shoot (read People's report of it here and here), but I don't think they need to apologize. The actors are adults, the shoot is for a men's magazine not a teen bopper one, and although I love the show- it's not really a "family" show for all ages. There is a lot of talk about sex, adult jokes, and sexual dancing. I mean come on PTC!!

Ok, so here are the pictures from the shoot (from here). what are your thoughts?

Are the pictures racy? Yes. Are they nude? No. If you don't want your children seeing the pictures, parent your child and don't buy them an adult magazine, set parental rules on the computer, etc. and if your children do see the photos and have questions or feelings about it then TALK to them for crying out loud.

Tell me readers, is the shoot too much? Should the girls apologize? What about Cory?

I Heart Lea Michele

Lea is my girl crush. I've loved her since the start of Glee and I'm her #1 fan for her red carpet choices (see her Celeb Inspiration post here and she's my Top 10 Best Dressed here). She's also the cover girl for the UK's Marie Claire. Here's some pictures from the shoot, but see all of the pictures and tidbits of the interview here. The pictures are beautiful, she's truly talented and breathtakingly beautiful. I really believe and hope that her career will be huge and she'll be around forever without getting all out of sorts.

'Glee has made me feel beautiful. Now when people say that I don't feel like they're lying.'
