People's 10 Best Dressed 2011

People has released their top best dressed celebs for 2011, do you agree? Here's their list and my thoughts.

Blake Lively: I love her and she definitely belongs on any best dressed list ever made. She always looks fabulous.

Jennifer Lopez: This woman is smoking! She takes risks, is always trying new trends, and rarely looks less than gorgeous.

Mila Kunis: Agreed! Mila has shown us her fashion savvyness this year and she really shines.

Jennifer Aniston: This I don't agree with because she always looks the same! She rarely tries anything new. I guess that's why people like her though? She sticks with the classics? I do love her new hair cut though.

Jennifer Hudson: She has looked smoking this past year, but I'm not sure if I'd put in the top 10 list.

Jessica Alba: Last year, I wouldn't have agreed, but this year she has really brought it to the red carpet.

Kate Middleton: Duh. This is an obvious choice. She is chic, chic, chic!

Kate Bosworth: I adore her, but another one I'm not sure if I'd put on a top 10 list.

Ginnifer Goodwin: She belongs only for the fact that she tries something new almost each time and really switches up look.

Reese Witherspoon: Every girl's bff! She's always looks classic and beautiful.

Ok, the only people I'd list for this year instead of some of these ladies would be:

Emma Watson: This girl is gorgeous and I've loved all her looks this year.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely: She has killed it this year and looks spectacular in her fashion choices.

Kate Hudson: Another woman who has been exceptional this year, AND pregnant while looking constantly fab.

I love Kate's Preggo Style

I love Kate's carefree style, she always looks so great! Whether she's dressed up or walking the streets I think she always looks fab! I've done a Celeb Inspiration post on her before and you can see it here if you missed it, but I am in love with her pregnant style this year and thought she needed another post about how great her wardrobe choices are. I seriously hope I can be as chic when it's my turn to have a bun in the oven.

Tons of celebs are preggo now and most of them are definitely fashionistas, who do you think has the best pregnant style?

Best Dressed at Met Costume Gala 2011

So I know that I already did my last post before I leave, but I just couldn't help myself from posting my favorites pics from last night's Met Gala. Swoon. The ladies looked lovely and I thought there were only a few WTFs.

I also wanted to thank everyone again for all your love and support about the wedding! It's been incredible and I really appreciate each email, text, FB message and tweet!

I loved the ladies in gold (or nude, whatevs)!! SJP and Blake Lively rarely ever look bad, they know how to do a red carpet event right everytime. Little Hailee Steinfeld is on her way too. I know Iman is a little out there and may not be on everyone's best dressed list, but I think she killed it in that outfit. It makes me think that's how a superhero would dress for a night on the town.

Red hot ladies! What sealed the deal with me with the Mary-Kate is her beachy hair. I love. The Glee ladies looked lovely as well.

Brooklyn looks divine in this color. Her hair is really growing on me!

Ok, for reals ladies. How old-school glamour does Florence look?? I love it.

Celeb Inspiration: Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson is another California girl and her 70s style is still hip in today's fashion. Even at her most glamorous, Kate's a wild flower with a little bit of funk that makes the fashion her own. Bell bottoms, clunky heels, vintage prints with lots of accessories are her staples. Kate can really be admired for sticking to what she likes, regardless of the trends. She's stated several times in interviews that her style ha never changed and she likes what she likes.


Silly boys, suits are for girls: When she gets ready to go, her go to choices are a dress or a suit. Her suit choices are always well fitted and she keeps them fresh with the different styles.



Lights, Camera, Shimmer!: Kate loves her red carpets looks sparkly. Again, she always plays up the style with varying lengths, sleeves, and necklines. Don't be afraid of sequins, they are easy to wear whether it's full on or as accents.



Casual: Her laid back style is easy and relaxed. A nice loose top, comfortable bottoms and a few accessories be it sunglasses, a hat, or a scarf. Kate looks pulled together by mixing her casual looks with glamorous pieces; tailored shorts, chic bags, or chunky heels.

What do you think of Kate's style? What's your favorite look? This post was a lot of fun because of her disco style and I wanted to post more about it, but then this post would have been super long. I like all of her styles, especially how chic she pulls off a suit. As I'm typing this, I'm also mentally going through my closet to copy her layering styles in the last section.

SAG Recap

Here are my best dressed at the 2010 SAG Awards, there were lots of lovely ladies, but here are my "Ican'tstopstaringtheylooksogorgeous" picks;


Kate Hudson was gorgeous in this sexy dress! We all know how I love winter white and Kate has been rocking it all season long.


Lea Michele is becoming one of my fashion inspirations so quickly. She has yet to disappoint me on the red carpet. This shade of green is divine on her and her hair is making me green with envy.


Anna Paquin surprised me with this little number and I just adore it! It's short, sexy, and ready to take on spring. Plus, I love her shoes.


Kyra Sedgwick looks heavenly in this white number and I'm really loving her hair and lipstick.


Diane Kruger can do no wrong, she always looks fabulous.


Dianna Aragon is radiant in this white and black number with her bold lipstick. She looks so beautiful here.

Now onto the worst dressed as my friend and reader Kristie suggested.


Meryl Streep, although I love her and think she looks great, she shouldn't have worn this to an awards show. Sorry girl!


Tina Fey, this is so boring- even for you. Although she's never wowed me, I do believe Tina can definitely do better than this.


Sofia Vergara, this is not homecoming 2001 sister. Step up your game.

Nicole Kidman, first I can't believe this is an Oscar de la Renta dress, but I really dislike this on her. It just doesn't seem like her style to me, but would have been better on someone with more of a boho style like Sienna Miller.

Winter white was huge for this awards show, I didn't even show all the fabulous dresses there were! Also, I'm glad that there were more bright colors on the red carpet, it's a sure sign that spring and summer are on their way! Overall, I think every one's hair and makeup looked great. Even the simple looks were stunning. A big trend I'm still seeing is a bold lip color and it's really easy to try. You may be a bit shy, but you're probably just not used to seeing yourself with lip color on. Try it and I bet you'll be pleasantly surprised!
