My 5 Style Icons

The other day I was flipping through InStyle's September issue and got to thinking about style. They feature one celebrity's top 10 best dressed moments (this month it's Emma Stone) and I usually always agree on their chosen outfits (although, I do think they miss one every now and then). I love this feature and think it's fun to see someone's best fashion moments.

I started wondering who I think has the best style- someone who looks fabulous day to day and from year to year. There are so many gorgeous women in the world and I love seeing what they choose to wear. Celebrities have so much at their fingerprints and events of all occasions to wear exciting new items. I thought I'd feature who I think always looks the best and has best style all around.

So after much deliberation, here is my top 5 women who I think always look amazing. These five look gorgeous at every event and I would love to raid their closets and have their hair! I wanted to do a little blurb about each one, but the reason I love each of their style is the same: they always look feminine, classy, sexy, and push the trends without ever over-doing it.

Blake Lively

Kate Middleton

Emma Stone

Mila Kunis

Miranda Kerr

Aren't they gorgeous? Don't they always look stunning? I think these women will always look that way too, style stays with people, it doesn't just disappear after a season (or movie promo trail). Their looks will still look great in years to come. What I love about their style too, is that it doesn't seem like they're trying too hard. They care about what they wear, they choose pieces that flatter themselves, and they're just working simple pieces in a mega way.

Who do you think are today's style icons? What do you think of my picks? I can't wait to see who you choose!

Celeb Inspiration: Emma Stone

I'm just going to put this out there: I love Emma. I think she's adorable and I love the characters she plays. She's a hair and style chameleon and I love that, it makes life so much more fun. Plus, she's funny. Not many girls can pull off funny (which is sad), but she always makes me laugh. The Help was one of the best books I've read in years and she's playing Skeeter, I think she'll be a perfect match. I can't wait to see it in August!

Red Carpet: This girl ha sthe red carpet down pat. She always look pulled together, chic and on trend. Love it.

Fabulously Fierce: Emma's not afraid to push the envelope with new trends, styles and cuts. This keeps me on my toe!

Soft and Feminine: Emma's one of the girls in these flirt frocks.

Are you a fan of her style? I love it. I personally think I'd wear every single thing I've seen her in. Even that crazy half/half dress. What's your favorite look? Do you love her movies?

Eerily Similar...

Anyone else freaked out by the similarity of Emma Stone and Lindsay Lohan as blondes??? When I first saw the pic on the left of Emma I seriously thought it was Lohan. Before Emma going blonde, I never noticed any similarity at all! I love Emma, I hope her career really takes off. Lilo, I hope you just get your act together.

PS I think Emma looks GORGEOUS here, I'm just making note of the how they look alike as blondes :)

Another Beauty Gets Bangs

Emma Stone not only went blonde (her natural hair color), but also got some chic bangs! Last month it was the lovely Taylor Swift and this month the beautiful Emma.

I love the look! She looks great as a blonde, but I also love her red hair. I'm not sure which I prefer yet the blonde may take some time to get used to. Her bangs look great! I love the length- the're perfect to play with and do a side bang look as well.

What do you ladies think? Do you like her with bangs? What about her new har color?

Product Review: Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Sparkle Liner

When it comes to beauty, I'm down for whatever. I'll try it. I've gone to get my makeup done and said do whatever you want, but make sure it's bold. Make-up is fun and if you don't like it, just wash it off and start over!

I saw this look on Emma Stone at the Easy A premiere from the Glamour website. I loved her dress and thought her makeup choice was fresh and fun.

This look inspired me to give it a whirl with my new blue Victoria Secret Beauty Rush Sparkle Liner (available here) in Bluminescent.  The pencil was in the same beauty bin as the Beauty Rush eye shadows from this post. It's a regular pencil that's twist up- nothing to sharpen! My favorite kind.

Here's the results:

Overall, it was a good switch from the regular everyday routine. It really wasn't a big deal to switch from black/brown to a colored eyeliner. I often wear colored eyeshadow as liner under my eye to mix it up a bit, but never tried a colored eyeliner before. This is such an easy way to try something new and add color to your beauty routine. I paired it with the Beauty Rush eyeshadow in Gold Rush on my eyes and on my cheeks, so that's what all the shimmer is. The pencil lasted all day and I liked the sheen the color had to it. I'd definitely wear this again and try their other colored pencils as well. It's regularly $7, but I bought during a sale for $5.
How adventurous are you with makeup? What colors do you wear most often when not wearing neutrals? Have you tried colored eyeliner?
