Veils, I have a problem

I have a bridal confession. I'm obsessed with over the top veils. Everytime I see pictures with a long veil I swoon. I'm just taken into a coma of lust and beauty. I think that wearing a veil for my bachelorette trip really did me in though, it was so fun to wear. I wish I had more reasons and occasions than my wedding to wear a veil. Honestly, it's awesome.

Here are some of my favorites:

What do you think? Do you love long veils like I do?  Did you wear a veil for your wedding or will you wear one? When I first when dress shopping, I didn't plan on wearing a veil at all, but I got sucked in! They're so pretty, comes in tons of different lengths, how could you not fall for them??

For my wedding, my bestie/old roomie/sorority sister/and bridesmaid A is being so generous and allowing me to borrow her beautiful veil. It's stunning and I'm so happy to share something with her that's will be so personal for us both. It matches and compliments my dress perfectly and I really lucked out that her was such a great match. PS I'll be wearing that veil next freaking week!

  1. I debated on veils too! I ended up with a two tier veil that went all the way down my back! It was very simple, but very beautiful! I love that you are wearing your friends veil! So very sweet!!

  3. I think they are gorgeous and so elegant and classy! My friend recently got married and she wore a veil. She had beautiful hair clips in her hair under her veil (which was simple, yet elegant) and she removed the veil for the reception and still had the beautiful clips in her hair.

  5. I LOVE the big veils. I had a small one for my wedding and wish I would have picked the longer one.

And to answer your question... YES! I am so excited!!!

  6. I was so anti-veil for my wedding because it was outdoors and I was so concerned about it getting in the way. My mother totally talked me into one that I wore for the ceremony only and I am so happy that I did. The long ones are breath-taking but would not have worked out for me. GOOD LUCK! Enjoy your day-it flies by, but will be so incredible!

  8. I love the idea of long veils. I am SO glad I didn't have a long one. It was SO windy on our wedding day...the veil wouldn't have worked out. I'm glad I did a fingertip length with a blusher which made it bubble-ish veil =)
I did make a cathedral length veil for my TTD shoot...again I am SO glad I didn't have to deal with that much veil on my wedding day haha. But I agree -- they are gorgeous and I wish I had another reason to put my veil back on haha

  13. I'm wearing a waist length mantilla veil. Its a little over the top for our court house ceremony and my tea length dress, but its so cool and dramatic that I had to get it!

  14. I love them on other people but never thought I could pull one off. So I did not wear one at neither of my 2 weddings!

  15. I'm more of a bird cage veil kind of gal, but I definitely appreciate how pretty a long veil looks!

  16. I always liked veils, but I ended up not wearing one for our wedding day. I like the mantilla veils that are super long too, but it just looked out of of place at our wedding.

  19. I bought a long veil with lace on the ends for my wedding and still after calling it off, I can't bear to part with the veil! It's so beautiful that I decided to keep it and wear it when the right guy comes along, that's how much I love this veil!!!

  20. Agreed! I think the veil would be just as hard as the dress to choose b/c it's all in the detail!
