GQ "Glee Gone Wild" photoshoot, is it really THAT big of a deal??

Maybe you haven't heard the buzz yet, but GQ did a recent layout of "Glee Gone Wild" where three of the characters; Cory Monteith, Lea Michele, and Dianna Agron are photographed as sexed up versions of their characters.
The shoot has been seen as "borders on pedophilia," by The Parents Television Council because they play high schoolers on the popular show. Dianna and Lea have both apologized for the shoot (read People's report of it here and here), but I don't think they need to apologize. The actors are adults, the shoot is for a men's magazine not a teen bopper one, and although I love the show- it's not really a "family" show for all ages. There is a lot of talk about sex, adult jokes, and sexual dancing. I mean come on PTC!!

Ok, so here are the pictures from the shoot (from here). what are your thoughts?

Are the pictures racy? Yes. Are they nude? No. If you don't want your children seeing the pictures, parent your child and don't buy them an adult magazine, set parental rules on the computer, etc. and if your children do see the photos and have questions or feelings about it then TALK to them for crying out loud.

Tell me readers, is the shoot too much? Should the girls apologize? What about Cory?

Kacy Duke Underground Grooves Event- Los Angeles

Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to join Hollywood fitness expert, Kacy Duke for a cardio-dance workout. Kacy Duke partnered with Dove Visibly Smooth deodorant-which minimizes the look and feel of underarm hair over time to help women feel stumble free for longer. At the event we received the new deodorants- can't wait to try it!- as well as a Lucy Lu workout tank top and a copy of Angeleno magazine.

We met in Los Angeles at Siren Studios and I was able to bring my homeslice T along for the ride.

The class was aaaaamazing!! We danced the entire time and Kacy Duke had so much energy! It was such a great workout and it didn't even feel like you were working out. It was so much fun!

I'm not going to lie, even though it was a TON of fun, towards the end I thought my body may give up. Not in a "I think I may throw up" workout way, but a "must keep moving, must keep moving" way. I'd love to attend more workout classes like this one. If you EVER get the chance to check out a dance-cardio class DO IT! It was really a great work out, T and I were both sore the next day, and it was so much more fun than basic cardio and weight training.

Have you taken a dance-cardio class before? I've tried Zumba at 24 HR Fitness, but didn't care for it. Kacy's class felt more active and upbeat. I really liked how I felt the next day- more energized and healthier, even though I was a bit sore.

Have you tried these Dove deodorants? What brand do you use?

Celeb Inspiration: Olivia Palermo

I've never watched "The City", but I do watch Olivia Palermo's fashion choices. She is the epitome for chic, preppy, feminine and classy. Her style choices remind me very much of my favorite show "Gossip Girl". Olivia is a trendsetter with her fabulous fashion sense, a total style queen. Let's take a look at her personal style.

Flirty Skirts: What's more feminine than a skirt? Olivia brings the skirt out in full force, great shoes, structured bag and a flirty top. A skirt is so easy to wear and is suitable for tons of occasions; parties, work, fashion week, etc. It's also a snap to accessorize with belts, jackets, and tights.

Cardigans and Jackets: Miss Palermo shows us the perfect way to use a jacket or cardigan to change the feel of an outfit. Need to dress up your look? Add a blazer or detailed cardigan. Need to make the outfit more casual? Use a long cardigan and a belt for a day time look.

Feminine Details: Again, Olivia has to be one of the most feminine dressers in the US. She's never overly done, but always carries an understated air of womanly sophistication. Want an elegant touch to your clothing? Look no further than some girly details to solve your problem. Florals, lace, and bow will add a ladylike touch to any outfit!

Fun with Fashion: No style icon is without fearlessness in fashion choice. Mixing prints, textures, or going for major drama, Olivia has it nailed.

What do you think of Olivia's style? Do you like it? What's your favorite look of hers?

Any suggestions for future Celeb Inspirations?

Product Review: Fun Nail Colors via Sally Hansen

So I've been working on this post for a while, it's just been sitting in my Drafts waiting for a Review Tuesday to come up. Lo and behold I saw this post on MTV Style and knew it was time to post it!

They did a write up for bold yellow nail polish here about yellow being in style year-round "Yellow is one color that continues to fade in and out as a hot trend, even as we transition from summer brights to more subtle fall shades," says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, artistic director of the nail polish brand O.P.I. “Yellow works well with tan skin, so keep your summer glow throughout the autumn with self tanner. Yellow nails also look great when paired with gray wardrobe hues.”

Yellow is one of my all time favorite colors, so I definitely agree with their post that it can be worn year-round! Yellow is great match for so many colors and give you a nice POP of color when you need it. For the last year or so I've been on the hunt to find a great yellow polish that's good quality. I've tried a few brands and they were either runny, super sheer or looked highlighter yellow. When I tried the highlighter yellow one (some off brand from a random small store) the ladies in the nail salon were making fun of how ugly it was. Needless to say, they were quite rude  about it and not friendly fun about it at all and I've never gone back. Anyways, I've finally found a great yellow color in none other than my favorite brand Sally Hansen!! Check it out:

The color is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail polish in Lightning (two coats) and lived up to my expectations of the polish. It wasn't runny or sheer and the bright color really popped. I used only two coats and it was perfection. It dried really quickly and was true to the color in the bottle, which is why Sally Hansen has become my #1 favorite brand of polish.

Here's a picture of it against a recent outfit to see how it really stands out:

So what's your thoughts? Do you like bright colored polish? Do you think it's appropriate for anyone out of high school or college? I think that nail polish is a fun way to be expressive, creative, and have a little fun. Nail polish is rarely on for more than a week so I say why the H not just go for it?
